Actually, in the past he has said when they had a bad week of practice. Last year he said that several times after a game.

I said he wouldn't say that before a game

Just watched it live. Seemed pretty pissed off, basically calling out the team for being cocky and thinking they could go in and win without putting any energy into it.

"Once you start getting cocky, thats when bad things happen"

I hope they have a fire lit under them this week and come out swinging on Saturday

How do you watch it live?  that would be so cool

Do you think we will rep the chrome helmets at all in the regular season?   All green with chrome helmets ( like HOD bowl ) looks really sharp

Sooo...does that mean we are to wear black as well?

I would assume so... I'm going to

He also mentioned that they had great practices throughout the week, but the players have to make sure they stay focused all the way up to the game. Maybe I'm reading into that too much, but I would say he's also pissed about the pictures that came out showing players hanging out at the pool.

Yes but they also said they had a good week of practice prior to the FAU game.  Of course they're never going to say they had a bad week of practice before a game, but don't feel confident just because supposedly they had a good week of practice. GMG!

I think they kept Fine in for the game experience. He is a true sophomore. Every play he is in is more film he gets to watch of himself. He’s our future QB (Next 2 years at least), so you should at least salvage something out of this game.

This defense allowed FAU to push them around.. it was from the first play, not in the middle of the game or are after half.. if they were gassed on the first drive

Defense looked like total dog shit.   We can't have this happen again.  Defense hasn't been pretty all year.  If we expect to win the west, let alone the conference,  we are going to need to make major changes.

Do you have to pay for the games you go to?  Just curious

I think you are confusing point spread with worse loss.  The Nevada loss was in the fcs (1aa) division by a 3-7 NT team, you really think that is anywhere near the FAU loss in importance.

The Rice loss also was relatively unimportant by a NT team that was 1-11, and also in my view largely due to an very ill advised all team drug test.  Many players definitely didn't have football primary on their mind.

The Portland State loss may have been more embarrassing because it was to a fcs team. NT was also 1-11 in that year, so on an importance basis, it would rank very low.   It was also definitely a function of the turmoil going on with the coaching staff at the time plus a bad team.

They are all relatively unimportant games by really bad NT teams.  So absolutely they are not close to as bad as the FAU game.   The FAU vs NT game was between two undefeated in CUSA teams with a lot to play for.

Agree.  The fau loss really hurts.  However, the Portland State game was the worst.  Biggest margin of victory by an FCS team over an FBS team, on homecoming!  Granted it didn't have importance to it but that was the worst lost the program has suffered
