I agree except for the part I put in bold.  I think Littrell and staff will surprise us with this recruiting class.  I am also intrigued by Shanbour and would be interested to see how the new staff assesses his chances.  Hell, as tough as it has been for Greer, some decent coaching might help him out.  His JUCO/HS highlights looked good.  He looked like a totally different, not in a good way, player once he arrived in Denton.

I was at the season opener against texas when greer started. Had endzone seats on the side we started on. From the very 1st snap he looked overwelmed with the size and speed difference from the juco level. Maybe after being here a while and good coaching he can improve but it seemed to be more mental from what I saw and I'm not sure coaching fixes that.

  2. If I was was top recruit I would be doing all the antics.. they're no harm  AT ALL. They are kids. I don't see how it matters what so ever if they have top 4, 10, 50 for that matter. If anything when he gives his top 4 and we aren't on it we move on and use resources elsewhere. Again bring in talent and figure out the rest in the spring.

The only caveat to that is if it's a combo deal then TCU has Kenny Hill in 2016 and 2017. That might sway Kincade away from TCU. Again, if its between UNT, SMU, and TCU then it comes down to playing time vs a chance at winning a national title.

I agree but TCU doesn't make a ton of sense. If he was going to transfer and sit out a year why go to a place you probably wont play at (TCU). Might as well stay at ole miss and see if there's an injury. Thinking its a 2 horse race between us and smWho and both twitter accounts I've seen more unt things retweeted. I think Littrell is about to land this combo!

No good if we have to wait until 2017.  We need a QB now.  We have no FBS-type QBs on the roster for 2016.  We need Littrell to get one for 2016.

In reality, I'd rather ride out 2016 with a freshman who will grow with time than with a one shot guy.  That's just me.  If we were to get a one shot guy, I'd rather it be someone who had some starting experience.  Seems like these guys considering us haven't even cracked the starting lineup where they are.

So, if you are going to have a brand new starter, make it a freshman.  Again, just my opinion.

We'll have Alec Morris for next year. He's able to start right away and if we get kincade he'll start the next year. That gives a freshman 2 years to learn and grow.

This part of the game can be removed. A 17 yr old zit faced kid isn't dangling carrots over my head regardless of what his talent is. He can pack his bags and getta matching right out of Denton county as far as I'm concerned.

That makes little sense. As if we are so rich in talent we turn our nose up at kids because they have a little fun with the whole recruiting game? Kids have been doing it for years and it's how it is. Another reason I'm excited to have a youthful staff who understands how the kids operate now.

Oh, wow. He's one of those guys...antics like this makes me hope he goes elsewhere.

Agree. It would be different if he was a top 100 recruit in the nation, but he's not even nationally ranked.

In other news...I've narrowed down my destination for lunch tomorrow down to 4 places. Jimmy johns, chipotle, chick fil a, and whataburger.

I don't mind it at all, it's a 17/18 year old kid having a little fun of a once in a lifetime event. I for one am hoping we are listed 1st on the list.
