The way the coaching staff were embracing Rubin when he came back to the bench makes me think he's out for the game. Time for Scott and Edwards to finish the game.

Hopefully it’s just the game. Hamstrings can end a season quick 😕

Dude you’re such a miserable fan. Never did I say you have to be jumping up and down going crazy the whole game. But there is important game moments that happen other than just the end of the game. Go watch literally any of the top programs and see how their gameday atmosphere compares to ours. Night and day difference.

1200 students dead center court is more than enough seats for our program. Which was my point from the beginning.

    They aren’t dead center…..

and sure going to games for 30 years and I’m a miserable fan…. Ok 🙃

They literally do not. They literally pay more than any alum or fan to get in with their athletic fees.

Where do legitimate basketball programs put their students? Answer: not in upper bowls.

Here is where a select few Duke students are allowed to sit. And yes many sit up top. 1,200 “crazies” sit in section 17.

-you can go get lost on Reddit to read all about the threads of where students sit at games and find almost none of them are anywhere outside of behind and to the sides of the goals. The rest up top. Many have to actually purchase tickets or enter a lotto.

Well a simple search (plus having know people from other universities) would be they sit whine the goals and most of the pay for that….. or in football they pay (sometimes) more than I do for a club ticket at UNT and then sit in the nose bleeds….

Attitude like that is why the pit has no energy outside of maybe a possession or 2. If you don’t think it matters to the players energy, then I’m here to tell you it absolutely does.

People come to watch games. If they want to jump around the whole time then go join the cheer leaders….. little reason to get hyped until the game is over and we have won.

Bc there they only really affect one side of the court. If in the middle, they can set the tone for the whole arena. An arena that can be very apathetic, to put it nicely.

Rather a student sit there free than a donor that pays and barely manages a golf clap. Build actual suites and stick those folks there.

….. people come to watch a game. I wouldn’t want a bunch of people jumping up and down in front of me. I can be here and don’t even have to clap…. We show up to watch the game. Close end game scenarios are different sure.

Sure.. let’s stick the students, usually the rowdiest group there, in a place where they offer no home court advantage. Great idea there.

Oh I see….. student should get in free and then sit in the prime seating. Your right….. your probably one of those new grads perhaps failed by the system. Your owed everything hm.
students should also get free food and drink too 🙃

So many possibilities that I would be okay with but my one non-negotiable is that the student section needs to be moved to center court. I know some games are light on students (holiday break) but I’m okay with that over the boring, lifeless “loge”.

Absolutely not. Unless they purchase the tickets then sure. Otherwise student section is top bowl and 5 sections behind one of the goals.

Edwards would be the next point guard (even if he really is a shooting guard). CRH has already put that on film over the past few games. But C. Moore fan club members will have their Xmas wishes granted (in a few months) when Edwards is in the portal. Moore will have the entire offseason and non-conference schedule to either be the backup to Jones if Jones returns or the starter if Jones leaves.

    C. Moore - a walking triple double that CRH and staff are hiding from the NCAA.

Hoos next? Let’s make the case for A. Cotton getting A. Scott’s minutes to see what he can do if A. Scott decides to leave. Robert Allen won’t be back because he is out of eligibility. We need to get (insert name) some minutes so we can see what next year will look like. Meanwhile the team is currently 6-5.

Why would Edward enter the portal….

I can help both of them... drive the dang ball to the hoop see it go in a few times, buggs take the wide open 3's you get off dribble penetration from a team mate and lets do the dang thing!  I was pleased with Jones, and Walker with how aggressive they were to the basket yesterday.  Every guard should be following suit.  I also enjoyed Aaron Scott finally getting back to being aggressive and looking to get his shot off the bounce.

This team should push every team we play in conference IMO.  The determining factors in how long we can stay in the competition will depend on 1. Rueben and the bigs staying out of foul trouble 2. How well we share the basketball offensively.

I think when those things happen we are a tough out, because lets face it the defense hasn't even taken a step sideways I think they've progressed we are longer and more athletic.   I would really like to see Moore used instead of Noland bringing the ball up the court when Jones comes out.  Noland will struggle in conference play when Jones has to get a break.  Moore must be behind defensively that is the only thing I can think of that is keeping him off the court.  I would assume if you are Hodge you have to know Jones is gone after this year so get the young guy some minutes in non conference and see if he can earn more or if he isn't ready you know by conference play.  That is my last head scratcher for this ball club.  He really is the next PG but doesn't play much.

Why wouldn’t Edwards be the next point guard? Who says Ruben leaves? He and Scott can come back for one more run next season.

The BBall threads during games have been dead for a while (like about the last 4 games). I don't know where everyone goes during games. This one was at least a home game.

We were at the game. At least for most of it. Just bummed we lost to Fordham. Everything else was fine but that took the wind out the sails.

Thank you for the invitation, I just did exactly that.

At halftime we were up 35-23, that’s a twelve point lead.  We started the second half by scoring a bucket at the 16:18 mark and then a single free throw (missed the other one) at the 13:31 mark…and that free throw was to draw even with a team we, agains, had down twelve at the half.

Now I am sure someone will lean into semantics and say “well, that still isn’t 7 minutes without scoring” but I’ll stand by the fact that 6:29 of game time with THREE points scored is atrocious.

That’s fine. It is also dependent upon how often the other team scores and the pace of the game. I heard the same argument every Mavs game…. Guys we went 4 minutes without scoring blah blah blah. It happens. In college a 2-4 minute drought isn’t that uncommon. 5-8 minutes without a bucket or maybe just a single bucket yeah that’s an issue. That can still be corrected though.
