No, in fact, they don't.
And screw you, douche. Tired of the NTDaily making us looking like a fool in regional media. We already get enough crap without the NTDaily making three HUGE mistakes in a week. One of which would get you fired.

They're kids...let's cut them some slack. They obviously got very excited about the story and made a mistake which all of us (other than UNT90
) make.They're kids that a.) get paid and b.) will be going to a professional job where mistakes like yesterday get you fired.

I grew up a UT fan and have changed into a UNT fan ever since I started going there. I can tell you this much, I always hated Aggie, Sooner, and Red Raider fans. I found them to be annoying and obnoxious. But, I have never seen a fan base as falsely entitled and arrogant as the SMU fans.
Never thought I'd see the day where I found fans worse than A&M fans, but that day has arrived.
Aggie, Sooner and Red Raider fans have reasons to be arrogant. SMUt fans have NO reason. They are famous for getting the Death Penalty and James killing hookers, that's it.

Also, wanted to add a thought on UTSA. If it is really true that they do not want the Alamo Dome to be their permanent home, and want to build an on campus stadium...then I don't want ANY part of adding them to either the Sun Belt, or CUSA in the future. They have corporate and city buy in right now precisely BECAUSE they play downtown and bring college football to the Riverwalk area. Move out of there and what happens to their support? I bet that it falls back to something more in line, historically, with their basketball support. Moving out of the Alamo Dome would be the single dumbest move they could make, IMHO.
The Alamodome is a hole. That's why they want out. But yes.

The current players matter that much because as of right now, we have the best squad UNT has ever fielded with perhaps the best coach as well as the most momentum UNT basketball (and perhaps UNT) has ever had. On the brink of a rise to CUSA, this is our moment to shatter the glass ceiling. Recruits in FB and BB will go, "Tony Mitchell is from UNT, right? He's a superstar. Took them deep into the NCAA tournament. That's right, North-freaking-Texas! I want to play there and do that! Look at the way the fans responded." Everyone wants to be the hero. These players leave, we just bounce off the ceiling and back to irrelevance, as SMU and TCU's punching bag.

Seriously? Sam Houston would have destroyed us in football last year. I don't get this attitude that we are some big bad powerhouse. We aren't. Sure things are looking up but get real. The numbers don't lie. Last time I checked we were a 1aa team trying to move up and it wasn't that long ago.
Does it really matter, though? Sam Houston is FCS and that includes the stigma that follows them around. There isn't an attitude. However, we've paid our dues, dominated the Sun Belt for years pre-Dodge, and things are looking up. Furthermore, we have history.

Why are we dragging our feet? These guys are a bunch of kids but the point remains that if the assistants leave, especially someone like Forrest, I'm worried these guys are going to jump ship. Especially if we don't have a quick replacement. Maybe it's an irrational fear.
