Yeah, I took two semesters of astronomy in the 90s and really enjoyed it out there for lab. My favorite memory, though, was thinking I had locked my keys in my car one night that we had a very late night lab watching a meteor shower. I had to hitch a ride with someone else back in to town. The next day in class, my professor tossed my keys to me as I walked into the classroom. They were apparently not actually locked in the car but I had left them in the key hole when I opened the trunk. DOH! (Yes, this is starting to make me feel old talking about a car that did not have a button to open the trunk.)

In the past I have paused the video to sync.
Not sure if you can pause the radioJust looked at the KNTU site - looks like you can pause there also
hmm, the pause doesn't work for me there, it keeps going back to live. Someone had posted a link during the rice game that I was able to pause.
UPDATE: Found it http://stream.kntu.unt.edu:1935/live/radiostation.stream/playlist.m

Is there a way to pause the kntu feed online to sync it up to the video or vice versa?

Chance of rain has been taken out of the forecast. Fox 4's Evan says 91 and sunny.
Pretty nice weather for September 3.
And with a forecast temp at 6 PM kickoff of around 85 and into the mid-upper 70s by the end of the game, that is about as perfect and pleasant as it gets.

Yeah, looking at the seats they actually this list, that map is actually a bad sign. Many of the middle sections are only available to donors. Looking at the rest, there's still lots of room to fill out.
Yeah, I always look to the amount available in the lower end-zone sections as a pretty good indicator of how ticket sales are going. The amount still left there with just a couple days to go does not seem like a good sign to me.

Royal Ferguson is very well respected and if anyone can make it work he can.
I agree with you on this, but I wonder if they would have been better served to pick someone who had actually led a law school previously.

Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (then Dallas/Forth Worth School of Law and Now Texas A&M University School of Law) had its own hiccups on accreditation initially as well.
History of the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law
A waiver was granted to allow students to take the Texas Bar Exam, so hopefully the same could happen here, if needed.
QuoteTexas Wesleyan acquired the law school in 1992. The first class of the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law graduated in early 1993. Waivers were granted by the Texas Supreme Court on a vote of 9-0 so that Texas Wesleyan law graduates could take the Texas State Bar exam, even though the school had not yet been accredited by the American Bar Association. Provisional accreditation was granted by the ABA in August 1994.

I will be really impressed if he makes it to Oak Cliff to deliver mine. I will post updates as I wait patiently.

I finally decided to go ahead and renew my season tickets today--now my 10th year. The changes I have already seen take place are enough to convince me this thing is heading in the right direction. Hopefully they hold, but the more fan-friendly game times announced tipped the scale for me in favor of renewing (much later in the renewal window than I normally do, though). In spite of all the losing and bad decisions along the way, I still look forward to the time in Denton on game days, and it is a good entertainment dollar value compared to other options. Besides. . . if NT ever does get over the hump, it sure is a heck of a lot more fun to have been around for the bumpy ride along the way.

I'm sure that Mac is updating his coaching resume as we speak.
Well, it is one less losing season on that resume now. :) Maybe RV will decide to re-hire him for one game and retroactively play a fantasy bowl game for that season since the team Hit6 before Hit6 was even a thing.

So, that makes the record from Mac's first year in 2011 6-6 now?

Yep, a lot of police officers, nurses, etc. were my classmates. It's being "phased out" after this current class.
Wow, I didn't know that. But, then again, I don't really feel like I am a part of that school any longer. I graduated through the TexWes evening program in 2012.

I will worry until he signs the contract. Until then, NOTHING is guaranteed. People back out of verbals and handshakes ALL THE TIME.
And if he did, then you'd have to question if that is the kind of guy you would want leading your program anyway.

Or not marrying her and spending the rest of your life wishing you had.

Did it say the position requires two eyes?
Quite the opposite:
"The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of . . . disability. . . in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices." [emphasis added]
I'm all for joking about things, but not about that, especially something directed at Coach Mac and challenges he had with his health while here.

Can someone sneak onto the field and replace the "North" and "Texas" cheer signs with "Fire" and "Rick"?

^ Shouldn't you end up with an even number then?

Is it too late to move the game to old Denton ISD Stadium / Bronco Field and have a sellout. . . maybe?

Trice always seemed like the kind of guy you would want fighting any battle with you. He is a beast, who does not show fear.
Seeing that he has been getting involved with doing some speaking engagements recently is further evidence of the leadership capabilities that guy has. So many people in life get dealt a crappy hand, and that young man just seems to have the heart and whatever that "it factor" is to step over any obstacle that has ever been in his way. Not that I wasn't before, but now more than ever, I am absolutely convinced of just how important he was to that defense and the entire team in 2013.

I will be there for sure this week, but I am torn between deciding which is the least painful thing to do the rest of the season: (A) go to and sit through at least part of the remaining games, or (B) stay home and realize I could have spent the money renewing my season tickets this year on something way more entertaining. I like doing my small part to help the program with MGC and tickets, but I was never this uninterested in all the Dodge years. Heck, at least many of those games were still entertaining and fun to watch in spite of the losses.

HOD bowl VS.....
in Mean Green Football
Posted
So, I just purchased a ticket for my father, a North Texas alum from 1962 who has never been to a bowl game before, to go with me to the HoD Bowl. Since my parents were going to be in town already for Christmas, this made for a pretty easy choice of a gift this year.
