It is about time that I purchase a new hat and last time did not hesitate to pay a premium price. Would love to get one of those white hat with green lettering, but they dirty easily. Do they make durable white hats that can be washed without ruining them? I will pay the price if they do. Got to have white hat with Texas heat.

Sorry for the stupid question, I know you guy & gals use a lot of abbreviations, It took me a little longer to figure it out. But is Jordan Gill that walk-on from a private school in Ft Worth and did he get any playing time at QB last year. Thanks

I was thinking the same thing but you put it much more tactfully (than I would have).
Remember, there's a limit of 105 when the season starts and we have Byrd, Jimmerson, Pegram, Lewis, Rollins, E Evans and Wilhite ahead of him and the first five are scholarship athletes. Eric Evans averaged more than 10 yards per carry his senior year and Wilhite has been a squadman for several years and did well in the spring scrimmage. Tough competition.
Konackas is a running back or so I think I read last year. Don't see his name up there.

They interview Tony Mitchell on ESPN during the Draft Combines. Had the highest leap at 38. He was on yesterday as well.

Agreed. There is no bigger tourist letdown than the Alamo. I remember being excited about it as a child, having heard story after story in school. When we finally visited it, it was like, "This is what all the fuss is about?" Meh.
Last visited the Riverwalk maybe six years ago. It just seemed dirtier to me than it was in the 80s. The luster is surely gone.
Agree with you there Lonnie. As a San Antonio native, I used to love and look forward to going down there especially during school breaks. Not no more, to many people, not the best food, and terrible parking. Guess old age has crept in.

Have not been able to find that Walk-On list that was posted around signing day. Anything new or does one have to wait till Spring Practice?

I here he just recently received a call from one of the recruiters. Word is they are suppose to call him today with and offer or some news. Hope this kid gets a chance to play the game and a paid for education. He will work his butt off for it. Whoever gets the kid is going to have a great player both on the field and off the field. Wishing him the best

He started at NG beginning of this last season. Made the first 3 tackles of the game and a kid rolled on his ankle and he got a ankle sprain. Coach took him out of game on DL but played him the entire game on the OL. Coach never played him on the DL again. DL coach wanted him bad but head coach made the final call on that. He has played out of position his entire high school career. He is a great DL. He is very strong. Kid benches 400lb squats 650. All I can tell you is that he is a great DL but hasn't been given the opportunity to show off his talent. He has played out of position which is really sad!! Wishing him the best of Luck...

The mistake made is thinking that you can't afford what will get the football program on track. That has the major problem here forever. The reality is you can't afford not to afford the right coach and facilities for your football program in this day and age.
And that is a lesson I still don't think the powers that be at UNT have fully grasped.
But remember we do not have wealthy donors. I seriously believe that if we had a Red Comb or a T Pickens to contribute a large amount of money for Athletics along with that money going into marketing, things could have been a whole lot different. Yes we have a large alumni in the metroplex but there has to be catalysis to get those 100,000 plus former NT students involved. By the way I am going to submit my $125 to the Mean Green Club today.

Honest question but how did TCU and Boise do it during their continuous upswing? Didn't they do the same things of getting guys out of nowhere but developing the crap out of players and instilling a set system? College recruiting goes over my head so I don't know but I thought that is what GP and Boise had done for a long time.
Boise in the 90's had a one arm safety starting and did make interceptions.

Yes, and removed from MG premium; the most unreliable source ever; so for two games in a row the football game is scheduled and not shown
So the game will be shown on ESPN3 but not on MG Premium. Sometimes a games can be far from San Antonio and I get a window saying " Black Out In Your Area"

Another question I wanted to ask you, last week I purchased the MG Premium and I wanted to see the basketball game last night but instead I was hearing something that sounded like a HS fb game, but no picture. How does this come about?
