  1. It's looking pretty bad right now. Definitely missing the intensity we had last game. Didn't help that both CWat and Wooden are in foul trouble. I'm not sure what the foul differential was, but I'm pretty sure we never made it to the 1 and 1, while they did about 7 minutes in. We need to correct that in the second half, and guard the darn three!!!

  2. The only reason I can think he called the TO was because he was changing up his philosophy of inbounds passes late in the game. I heard they were sending Howerton in to guard the inbounds pass....then my internet feed cutout and picked back up with Q shooting freethrows. Not sure if he stuck with that formation or not.

  3. I have listened to this album. It was crap. It sold like crap. Lucky for the Dixe Chix that the Grammys and the media at large liked thier little outburst or they would have faded into obscurity already. Hopefully soon they can get into the Senade O'Conner retirement home for people whose political veiws are less important to me than what color socks I am going to wear tomorrow. Maybe they can be joined by every other actor and musician who thinks that their lifestyle and realative fame give them enough political knowledge to make me care what they think about anything. And I dont just mean you whack job lefties, I am talking to you to Charleton Heston/ The Nuge...

I wouldn't say it sold like crap, it did go 5X platinum.

  4. 3500 attendance. I also noticed that we stopped aggressively attacking the basket in the second half. News flash to the Mean Green coaches and players: You outsize your opponents in the vast majority of games. We are a BIG team. Commentators from WKU, USA, ARLR, ASU, etc. have all commented that our size makes for difficult match ups and that we just need to take more advantage of that. We should be driving to hoop all night! There is little they can do except foul in most cases. If Wooden keeps playing like he did last night, this could be a fun ride.

I think we were attacking until Wooden went out, that's when things really changed. We would throw it in to Q, but the double team would be there quick. I think when Wooden was in there WKY couldn't double as often.

  5. I was really impressed with the game plan and execution last night. We new we had a height and size advantage and we took care of that. They are also obviously an outside shooting team and we counteracted that by putting Rich Young in the starting lineup, which was a great move. I hope our players come down from their high and are ready to play on Saturday. I can't wait.

  6. Where has Coby Ray been this year? I see him on the roster, but he never dresses out. Does he have some sort of injury?

Also, MGS.com and you guys are saying that everyone scored at least 1 point last night, but I didn't see Harold Edwards score...dude didn't even play.

I think what people are saying is that everyone that played scored. Can't answer your other question.

  7. Not to be judgemental, but I'm not sure it's a whole lot. He was driving a regular cab Ford F-150 and had to fit is daughter in the middle!

I think the minimum is somewhere between 200-230K, which he would get a pro-rated portion of that for the time he was on the team. He'd also get a pro-rated portion of his practice squad salary that is somewhere between 60-90k. He might just be thrifty knowing that an NFL career can be short.

  8. True, but a runnings back gig at a mid-major like UNT might be a reasonable dues-paying job for a former NFL player with a Super Bowl ring (Pegram was on the Steelers in 1995). I can understand why he'd not be hired if he's been vocal about paying players, but it's a shame there's not a place for him somewhere at UNT. Maybe he could do some color commentary on the radio broadcasts.

I think he should pay his dues as well, and I don't think running backs coach is where you begin. As it was stated above, he should begin as a GA somewhere, or have some sort if coaching experience. I think running backs coach would be too much of a jump. Also I don't believe the Steelers won that Super bowl.

  9. It would be nice if we could only schedule teams we realistically believe we can beat year in and year iut (we'd have to know that since scheduling is done in advance), but I don't believe that's an economic reality for us. I think as of right now a money game each year is probably necessary for the financial viability of our program. The fact that many of our game for the next few years are already scheduled causes a few more problems with that scenario. All in all though, I think the scheduling that last few years has been vastly improved, as we are usually only scheduling one game that I would percieve to be of the body-bad variety. It would be nice to be able to get all of Denton (all of Dallas would be even better) behind the Mean Green, whether that can be done remains to be seen, but I believe hiring Todd Dodge is a step in that direction...
