Of course we have practices.... I have talked to someone who has been to practices under both JJ and Benford. Different styles, different game plans. The talk and the fundamentals are the same. Offensively vits not that different. It's college basketball. You swing it around the perimeter and look for the open three. As the clock runs down you set some screens and attack the paint. One reason why I wih the shot clock was shorter.
well of course they practiced when somebody was around. What happens when that someone isn't around? I suspect it looks a lot like the green-white scrimmage.
Remember benford's first scrimmage? He got on the microphone and told the crowd "we will emphasize defense defense defense" then the scrimmage started and his team demonstrated no defense whatsoever. Ironically, that was the beginning of the end.

Stats are not going to show that a coach outs anymore or less importance on free throws. Every team practices free throws and every coach preaches capitalizing at the line. I refuse to believe that Benford tells his guys to miss free throws and not practice them.
Clearly free throws are an issue but it's not like they do not shoot them in practice. They have to fall eventually. I would be more concerned about defense and figure out how to cover the hot hand and stay poised.
Are we sure benford practices free throws? Are we sure practice happens when no one is around? I've watched our team and there are times where we look like we're making stuff up as we go. Are we just a glorified intermural team? Seriously this era is unreal

Our free throw shooting was horrendous -- 50%. If we shot at 75% and we win this game.
Remember when the previous coach used to emphasize free throws and it won us some games. Those were the days

If scrappy dances to thriller he might win. He's already in makeup!

About the author
I mean, you can't make this stuff up. Hilarious.
Nope, I think you can. at least I'm hoping so!

You know what sets Dajons apart from out other QBs? He can hit a wide open receiver and not undershoot them with a duck that's 10 yds short
How about hitting a receiver in stride? Even the great DT struggled with that. The receivers have to be elated to have DW back there

I remember that Sac N' Save fondly. I remember having a pretty bad bout of "sour gut" one morning during my first semester on campus (around February of 2013, I believe). As I was arriving on campus, it hit the hardest and that dilapidated store was the first place I saw and that deuce was about to drop somethin' real bad. (McDonald's was not an option, because I'm generally opposed to bombing a restroom in a place where people are eating)
I ran straight in and looked for the bathroom. The look and smell of the store alone nearly made what was trying to force its way out go right back up in and come out the other way. When I opened the door to the bathroom, I quickly made an about face and took off for the exit. Seriously, words cannot describe what I saw, smelled and heard. I clenched up really fast. Nothing was coming out after that!
Sac N' Save . . . more like "Sac N' Save Me From Ever Going in Again." I think that place saved my life.
I ended up staying in "lock down mode" until I got on campus and bombed a stall in the Academic Building. There was already someone else having the same problem in another stall. Therefore, I maintained my anonymity and nobody ever knew about it . . . until now.
It feels good to get that off my chest. Thanks, Sac N' Save.
Stay hard, Sac N' Save!

Andrew Smith may have something to say about that.
I get the point, but I think it is pretty early to be making this statement just because we are not slinging it around 40+ times a game. Many schools throw it 20 to 30 a game and do just fine recruiting QB's. That is where we are with this offense, not driving DD's Buick and tossing it 10 to 15 a game.
Thank you. Andrew Smith was primed to take over after Scott Hall and he was definitely better than any of the qbs that followed him. Sadly tragedy struck and it set the program back

3 then?
That one was metal looking, this one is plastic. Biiiig difference

Um, they look okay? Should have ran more?Canales knows how to use dual-threat QBs.
How do these stats look?
Passing:
COMP ATT PCT YDS TD INT YDS/G
122 227 53.7 1,983 14 9 152.5
Rushing:
ATT YDS TD

They're the 2009 stats for B.J. Daniels @ USF, under Chico.

I didn't get stopped, my white self walked by the yellow jacket as they stopped the large black man next to me. Don't worry, it wasn't a race thing, the yellow jacket was black too

Scrappy was AWOL in the second half.
I got little kids that want to see that bird.
Did you check underneath the bridge?

I don't like this game now. We need more time to get settled at qb. Fortunately it's a Thursday night game in our house. The odds are in our favor.
Prediction? Squeak out a win?

The commercial guy in the red shirt and hat. I wanted to Tonya Harding him at halftime. The sun was a beating. you don't need to take a commercial timeout everytime someone sneezes, let's move the game along

You mean the pompoms the students had weren't loud enough for you?

I am thoroughly shocked. Beer, SMU and great KO Time and only 22k and change. Very disappointing.
Great kick-off time? Really?

I rip the gb more than most and thought they brought their A game today. Kudos

This picture just makes me miss the old Scrappy
are we sure that's not what the new scrappy looks like after you've had a few beers?

Our band is overrated and we are way more than just a music school
You shouldn't talk about Deep Blue Something that way

Whoosh
I thought I was tossing you another softball? Whoosh x2?
-
Volume is irrelevant as long as we've got the pageantry.
Got it. So when both bands are playing at the same time and the other band is louder I look for the pageantry. Wait, what does pageantry look like in the stands?
-
Let's hope the gb step it up. Nothing worse than hearing another school play louder and more often than ours (ducks)

Wonder how many real practices the team had over the break. I'm guessing none, just like they've had all year. Well, except for the ones where an outsider was watching of course. Then they had to pretend to practice
