  1. i was talking more at memphis because they in tennessee.
  2. not really. i've just seen too many bama games (i've been to over 100). we rarely cover the spread, especially one that's that high. we also might be without our top WR (julio) and #2 RB (upchurch).
  3. haha, i'm friends with nick gentry (graduated from my high school a year after me). he would absolutely kill someone if he saw that picture. he's the only person i've ever seen break a facemask. in high school, there was a little fight on the field. he ran off the bench, jumped over a big pile of players, hit john michael boswell (also now on the bama team) in the face. broke boswell's facemask.
  4. ok, yeah. i'm just 21. that's well before my time.
  5. pardon my ignorance, but who's anita bryant? Denny Chimes is named after one of the former university president's, George Denny. he served from 1912-1936. it's also the same Denny that the stadium is named after (Bryant-Denny).
  6. most of the UA students that wear the white button up and tie are frat guys. at UA, most of them are pricks.
  7. you will definately see both rednecks and genteel southerners at UA. i'm not one of the rednecks, but i also don't dress up for the games. however, auburn is what we like to call a "cow college", take from that what you will. one of auburn's greatest traditions is throwing toilet paper in trees. mississippi state is the same. tennessee is pure hillbilly. lsu is completely different. they are in the bayou. real strange blend of people.
  8. my bad, when someone says 15th, i automatically think 15th street, not avenue. i didn't even know there was a 15th avenue. but dreamland isn't but 50 yards off old jug factory.
  9. well, if i HAD to make a bet on this game, i would not bet on bama with the 38 or so point spread. if you want to stay in the game, pass the ball. put a few WRs on the field and throw it towards marquis johnson.
  10. the place with the "bricks" is around denny chimes. there are cement slabs of the hand and footprint of every bama football captain dating back to around the 40s. the head cheerleader just uses the microphone before the game. don't worry, we don't like it either. i've never had a hotdog in the stadium, can't comment on that. the stadium probably won't be that loud this weekend. no disrespect, but north texas just isn't that big of a game for us. that and it will be at 11:20, most of the students will probably be hungover or still drunk. if it was a big game like auburn or tennessee, it would probably be the loudest stadium in the country.
