I doubt NT is too concerned with these decommits.   NT's stock should be way up relative to their Western Division conference mates.  I feel NT may look at this more as an opportunity to get better recruits than a big loss.

Only reason I really care is because we lost 2 three stars, one almost three star, and then a solid player at a position we really need depth at

Trust in this coaching staffs ability to find and develop talent.

  2. We have struggled against any kind of run that involves the QB.

I am not sure I agree with the above quote. We have struggled tackling qbs in an attempt to sack them when they were scrambling when pressure was on. We have not faced many qb's that are run based straight out of their sets under center. We will see! You probably will not be able to stop Bradshaw, but we may be able to limit the damage by having one guy keying on him forcing him to pitch  more times than not. This way we can make him a secondary option rather than the primary. I believe we will win and can limit his damage. I believe in the Green! Go get em boys!

A nice duo to what?  Play Special Teams?  Easley is buried on the depth chart and will be next year way behind Smith, Johnson and Siggers.  I would hope we would sign someone to push the depth chart early.

I just meant they both would provide a little size to the RB position that we need. Simple as that. I wasn't stating they would

be our one two punch at running back.

  4. I agree that name recognition seems to be the only way our student body shows up in decent numbers.

We have to ask how do we get there? It would appear constant winning would do it,  but I am not sure that would do it for our fan base. They want name recognition before they show up. Unfortunately, in our world you have to beat the likes of schools like us on a constant basis before any recognition happens. The powers that be look at that and what kind of attendance base you have. We don't have much of a track record for either. Lets start with constant winning and see where it goes from there.

  5. Next weeks game versus LA Tech is pivotal for the final two home games home attendance figures. Unfortunately,

our fan base is a week to week proposition on if they attend the games or not. If we come out with a W, it will increase interest

in the program. We will still be in first place, and It will bring more fans to draw interest to the already large homecoming crowd.

This could lead to a very large army crowd to finish out the home schedule if we condinue our winning ways. The game though is pivotal not only in terms of attendance

but in our conference seeding. A loss will be detrimental toward seeding, attendance and the momentum we need to finish strong. Here's to the Green.

Go get em boys and finish out strong. GMG

  6. This team has flaws like all do. Enjoy the ride. It appears they find more ways to win than they do lose aka UTSA.

Enjoy the process of growth, as we are in year two of the rebuild. Next year should be fun, I hope. In the mean time we are still winning more these days. Knee-jerk reactions are the order of the day in the times we live. Order a little patience at the bar and enjoy the little victories and improvement on the field I have seen.

In a conference with THREE Texas teams, and have Army at home

    "Win and we'll come"

We have a winning record and control our path to the conference title game

The truth is our "fan"base is a bunch of whiny lil' bitches

I am afraid even winning might not do it. Sad but true

  8. Seems like any time we get a bit of momentum as a program, our weaknesses are revealed the following week. Those wins we just had doesn't amount to a hill of beans. The students will just see the thrashing we took this week in the student daily. They will have no desire to attend the coming game. Our school is lukewarm at best in attending football games. There has to be sustained winning for anything to change. How long do we have to wait for such a change to consistent winning?

  9. I cant stand the losing as much as anyone. The reality is that SMU is a year ahead with how long Morris has been with the Ponies. Until this point they

have clearly out recruited us as well. The score was indicative of what should transpire in that situation. It doesnt mean we like it, but they are a bit further down the

rebuilding trail than us. We are young and hopefully will learn from this loss. I hope to see improvements going forward, though. The ponies loss sure

sucks. It will take time to get rid of that feeling.  Lets grow and go get em boys. Go Mean Green
