It's gonna take a turnover or three, but we will win.

How 'bout anyone with a non-student ticket is welcome to sit there anytime they please? This could remain the case until such time as demand dictates that those prime sections be converted to season tickets.

The one where we beat a P5.

Can we get a group together to go for a beer after the game? There's a Gingerman at Rice Village.

what did actual butts in seats look like for Army? 22K, 23K?
it definitely did not look close to UNT/Houston
My estimate was about 22K. 8000 on the student side, 3000 end zone, 11,000 press box side. Not as filled-in as UH game.

I would like to see the AD set up a table in one (or both) of the north corners letting folks know how to get tickets to the Rice game, providing info on where to stay, advertising the tailgate activities, etc. Even if few take them up on it, it puts the idea in people's heads that travel to road games is actually a thing.

Crown Plaza Houston River Oaks is about a mile from Rice and is very nice.

I was at the game so I couldn't really tell...the two passes that it looked like we caught, one on offense and one that looked like an interception...what did those look like on the feed? Did we get screwed?

We’re making the trip too. Anyone know details about visitor parking?
Last time I was there (3 or 4 years ago), we parked in a small lot on the SE side of the stadium, but I think the only reason they let us in that lot was because that's where the Alumni Assoc was having their tailgate. There is no organized event for this game, but I would like to tailgate near other greenies if someone has some kind of idea where they'll be. One time, I remember parking in a wooded area near the basketball arena on the west side, but I don't know if that's still open to everyone.

Any idea where NT tailgaters will be setting up? Which lot should we go to?

Our problem is what I’ve been harping on for years.
Give up on DFW. We lost.
There are thousands of people to the north of us who are too far from Norman. That should be our target market. Gainesville, Sanger, etc. It is asinine to me that we’d rather beat our head against a brick wall trying to get Argyle (lol City of Argyle day) to come to our games, why not cities too far from TCU or SMU?
I mean, do we not think Gainesville has $5 for Wing tickets?
Students—especially our students—are only going to show up if we win. That is reality. And even then, we won’t have more than 10K.
The other issue is that our donors (like Ernie) don’t like Denton. They detest it because they think it’s full of them libs!! No way would they want to interact with our feats that draw them libs!! They’d rather continue to fail to get Dallas interested in a corner of a city with 150K.
I don't see any reason to put much effort into any particular geographic area. All efforts should be put into getting students and alums to attend. There are plenty in that demographic to draw from.

Is the Alumni Association or AD doing a tailgate in Ruston? Wife and I are going. Staying Saturday night at Sam's Town.

I sit on the so-called alumni side (I prefer press box side). I yell and plenty of others in 106 do as well. To get the whole place rockin', though, we need to win consistently and play (and beat) teams that people have heard of. I haven't missed a home game in over 20 years and when the day comes when the place is packed and everyone is yelling and we have a lead in the 4th quarter against a ranked opponent, it will be glorious.

I guess I'd better make a prediction. Last week I didn't and things went badly.
