pitiful coverage fotr a college town. Vito wont ask the tough questions. time for another UNT beat writer.

if UNT has to schedule a 1-AA game just to get a W or a break from its tough SBC schedule then the coach is doing a poor job and needs fired. if you play in the big12 then a 1-AA game is OK for a break, not in the SBC. Act like 1-A fans and demand a 1-A program!

You say nothing would be gained from beating a 1-aa team. How about another W on the schedule.
if it is just a W you want lets schedule high school teams and D111 teams too then. we could be 12-0 against them and be Top 10 like your TCu. yep, National Champs for North texas against 1-AA and lower. would that make you a proud alumni?

Sorry to say this but we are not TCU. We are not near TCU.
You ask what we gain by beating SFA. How about another notch in the win column.
What do we get for getting blasted by BYU by 40 points? A mark in the L column.
you are saying we are closer to being SFA quality than TCU. maybe we are so maybe you should ask RV why the coach has us there? maybe we should not be like a southland team and act like southland fans.

Should they post the non-finalized schedule or just write up bios for the kids who may or may not be on the final roster? you got a point on the Spring Game though...

Once again I think your missing the point. So your saying that a loss to BYU by 45 on the road is better than a win at home?
And for those of you who think that a 1-AA game would hurt our attendence let me ask you this. Who do you think would bring more fans, SFA of FAU? SHSU or FIU?
if we are afraid of 1-A teams then get out of 1-A. was TCU afraid of BYU, no, they won at there place. we gain nothing by beating SFA and could lose to them then what?

most info aboujt football is for 2005. coaches, players, schedule,etcc. how about some info on this year and ythe spring game too for the fans?

Thats how they ended up being where they are. They would schedule as many cupcakes as possible. A 7-4 record looks a lot better than a 3-8 record. That was there mentaliity.
are we in 1-A? then let's play 1-A teams! If the coach is scared of BYU then try TCU or Akron has an openign too.

is the basketball program D1A or is it still D1AA or D2, I notice that we play mostly lower level teams and i was wondering if we are in the SUNBELT conf. like the other programs, if we are D1A, who schedules our games? also i notice that several D1A athletes have run-ins with the law every year and see that most keep on playing, what is our position on players who get caught on the wrong side of the law.

The bad news is that NT recruit Jackson has apparently been injured all year and has not played. 6'10" recruit Muse is averaging 8.9 points and 4.9 rebounds a game but is not in the starting lineup.
i'm sure Vito will get a story out about this right after the story about renewing coaching contracts and asking the tough questions

What I don't get is that some of my teamates (one is a starter at OU and another a starter at Baylor) never even got offers from UNT, and I talked to a few and they said they would of seriously considered UNT if they had been approached.
they must have been in Ramon Flanigan's DFW recruiting area.

an east-west wac would be much better than what we have now. a conference where allmembers play 1-A football and with some names fans have heard of.

I work with someone that is close to the Swimming and Diving program. This person has mentioned to RV that there are problems with the coach, but I don't think anything has happened.
you could insert any program we have now, except maybe soccer. time for some changes!!

Yeah it has nothing to do with safety. Its all about fear and driving customers away & having to refund them money for their troubles or lose their business to other airlines.
It is not about passenger safety but about greed. It's about penny pnching and not having to spend money to deice airplanes. Moving them to somewhere where they can be used to make more money. American Airline$.

exactly. a 1-AA win means nothing to UNT but beating someone we should beat like SBC teams. a loss would kill the fan base and recruiting more than it has been by 2-9.
