I am receiving reports that the UNT athletic department/advancement exes are making plans to reserve a spot on the Riverwalk Friday night before the UTSA game possibly (details costs to be worked out) at the Wyndham Hotel. This is exciting because it is the start of the Ford Holiday River Parade and Lighting Ceremony, Here is a link to their website and pictures: http://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/events/ford-holiday-river-parade-lighting-ceremony/ For over 30 years, this spectacular one-hour parade along San Antonio's River Walk has featured illuminated floats with celebrities, bands and lavishly-costumed participants. The parade goes on RAIN OR SHINE. How cool will it be for North Texas Fans to have their own section on the Riverwalk for this event? A fun evening in San Antonio and some bloody mary's the next day before an early 11am start time against the Roadrunners? I get excited thinking about how fun this trip will be.
