Texas Tech continued its run of JUCO recruiting success on Saturday with the commitment of Highlands (Kan.) Highland C.C. defensive lineman Brandon Thorpe. UNT hosted four junior college players over the weekend, including two who could soon decide on a college destination. Akii Smith, a linebacker from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M; Josh Greer, a quarterback who played at UAB and Navarro; Herbert Harris, a linebacker from Hinds (Miss.) Community College and Brandon Thorpe, a defensive end from Highland (Kan.) Community College were all on campus for official visits.
