  1. Broadcast cleared up after the first 15 minutes of Coach Slinker's show and had no isues during Jones's. Nice show I thought. Coach Jones was really positive I thought. I especially liked when he corrected Hank's question of "How did Josh White slip thru the cracks to come here" to which JJ replied "He didn't slip thru the cracks, he came to a special place".

During the OSU game an OSU fan behind me asked me about him. He was puzzled why OSU or OU or UT or LSU wouldn't have been hot on him especially OU after his brother. He just couldn't believe that caliber of player came to play at NT (kind of a backhanded compliment).

  2. Peterson has only been at Boise for 2 years. How are they sure that his W-L record isn't just a result of Hawkins good recruiting? and yeah PLEASE bring back DeLoach. We are probably not going to get another shot at him for a couple years. Hell if nothing else making him and Mendoza Co-Defensive Coordinators. I'm sure we have someone out there that loves DeLoach enough (or just hates Mendoza that much) to donate the money for that.

  3. Kevin Galbreath, Darrell Daniels, Michael Pruitt, Aaron Weathers... some of our best players in recent years have been JUCOs. We should not build the program around JUCOs, but we should be smart and use them to fill immediate holes. We badly need some JUCO defensive linemen in this upcoming recruiting class.

I agree. Also, see Troy for good use of JUCO players...

  4. On a side note how about this from Yahoo Sports.

Moderate Buy Rash of backfield injuries could elevate Cobbs to No. 1

    Patrick Cobbs (RB) Miami Dolphins

In a sloppy Monday night game reminiscent of the Red Grange days of the NFL, the Dolphins running back depth chart was wiped out by injuries. Starter Jesse Chatman, already ailing from a sprained ankle, suffered a neck injury after absorbing a wicked shot from safety Anthony Smith. His status for the upcoming week is currently unknown. Meanwhile, in his highly anticipated return, Ricky Williams exited stage left in the second half with a pectoral injury. He's reportedly out for the season. With the status of Chatman and Williams clouded, Patrick Cobbs has an outside shot of vaulting into the starting lineup this week against a pliable Jets front line. The second-year back out of North Texas is a diminutive rusher who exudes excellent patience, vision and versatility. In a system designed to involve backs in the passing game, Cobbs would be a sound source of receptions and yardage in Week 13. The Puddle Jumpers have yielded 187.3 total yards per game and the fourth-most fantasy points to backs since Week 9. The Miami offensive line has played commendably this year and will have little difficulty creating lanes for Cobbs, or whoever, to run through. Cobbs, available in 99.9 percent of Y! leagues, is worth a speculative pickup in all 12-team leagues.

  5. Nobody can run the offense like Ben Bell. Last year and so far this year when he has been out of the game the offense slows down and we don't score as well and usually give up more turnovers. Yes White has been playing well but he has 11 turnovers to 3 assists. He can drive and score, but as a freshman he has yet to learn how to orchestrate a D1 offense. Had Bell been injured for the OSU game OSU would have won. He brings a lot more to the table than just his scoring. Actually come to think of it I don't think he was signed for his scoring at all. He was signed as a pure guard that can run an offense.
