I usually get pretty engrossed in wars and watching them on TV but for some reason this one just does not move the needle for me. It seems like they should just give Russia the areas that they want and be over with it. Seems silly to have people die over this when most of the residents want to be with Russia anyway. I am open to other thoughts on this.
Talk about being passive and rolling over to take the bone. I want your car, you should just give it to me. Damn man.

Ice possible on Wednesday which means we can already start making excuses as to why the Frisco types won’t show up.
Yes, I am sure the Denton types will be there, like always.

Didn’t take long for someone to throw out the over, misused and mostly incorrect R word. If you can’t beat them, accuse them of being a racist. Nice job.

Just wondering if anyone has opinions on uniforms, and which colors we should wear? We should start a thread sometime!
Not really a hot topic around here. Hardly anybody posts their opinion on uniforms.

Luckily, despite growing up below the poverty line myself, I was never shipped around hospitals whenever I needed treatment because we were poor. I don't know why some of y'all think poor people are constantly being mistreated. Many poor people are getting better care than middle class people. A few years back, I wasn't making as much money and we were struggling. Each time my kids had to go to Children's Hospital or Baylor ER nearby, the hospital financial aid covered every penny after CHIP kicked in. Couldn't afford health insurance and couldn't afford to pay out of pocket but we were never turned away anywhere and we were never shipped around the metroplex like you claim. My dad had his second of two recent surgeries at medical city dallas last summer despite being unemployed and uninsured. He had been receiving medical care for several months, spent time in a rehab facility, and had a home Healthcare nurse come weekly despite being unemployed and uninsured.
I'm sorry you think private hospitals all over the place are letting poor people die because they have no money.
Uh oh, you are stirring up some major sh*t. You are killing a certain narrative.

Dude, get this - you won't believe your eyes. Since it is a private industry, listen for real, people are denied transplants because they can't long term financial meet the commitments of life POST transplant. That includes thousands of dollars a month in treatments and medications. It goes way beyond just being denied a transplant because you are a risky individual who ignores medical orders/advice.
But yes, all the time surgeries are postponed and cancelled because a patient has failed to uphold their end of the bargain to meet the requirements of surgery. This isn't only for transplantations - it is for routine operations like hernia and orthopedics. True story. I know you are shocked that private industry can do such things.Simple question so guessing your answer is yes. Thanks for your feedback.

I'm saying that tax dollars going to some safe house to do drugs safely in a monitored environment to prevent OD deaths - serves the same purpose as denying a (riskier) person a very precious and rare organ transplant that has hundreds of people in line behind them. The ultimate goal is to save lives. That's the only tangential relationship between the topics Lifer is bringing up - as if they are even remotely similar topics.
I agree with both courses.
Should people that drink and smoke be removed from donor lists as well? After all, everyone knows the health risks of alcohol and tobacco. Also, should fat people be removed? Lots of health complications due to obesity. Not taking medical advice and losing weight like Drs prescribe should be cause for removal, correct?

I’m not convincing anyone. You’re the one that called us lazy and apathetic. It’s okay, I can make assumptions about whatever backwater hick town you come from if you want.
I am from the backwater hick town of Southlake. We are all lazy slackers.

I’ll take my downvotes but you’re definitely an alum of the wrong school. One of the things that was quite appealing to me about UNT was the low-key school spirit when I came here 12 years ago. I can only assume many others feel that way.
UNT will never be a massive sports school. It will always be a off-kilter weird liberal-arts-school-hiding-as-a-public-school. The last 100 years are proof.
I am a fan of our athletic programs, but I also pay attention.
Not 100% sure but I think our business and engineering schools are much larger than any liberal arts school we have on campus.
UNT is weird because the whole freaking city of Denton is weird and when I say weird, I mean plain apathetic to everything. It has the laziest citizens in the state, they don't support anything.- 6

I like it. I've long held that weight and BMI are very poor metrics of actual health, but since they're the most readily self-calculated they're what people focus/obsess over.

peanuts104: Occasionally your posts make some points that hit the nail squarely on the head and cause me to affirm or reassess my own point. However your below the belt insults like above are unnecessary and wouldn’t be acceptable in any locker room or 82nd Airborne battle situation I have ever been engaged in.
Please be more respectful sir.
I've heard worse in a board meeting.

I cannot even believe what I am reading from some on here. You complain because Littrell is not on the road recruiting, then he makes a personal visit and you complain about that. You complain because we dont go after the 5 star guys, then you complain because “we waste our time on recruits we could never land. You complain because we dont win, then we put a streak together and you complain we win and now we wont be able to fire Littrell. Our starting quarterback decides to come back and compete for his position again and we complain. We recruit two transfer QBs and you complain because they didnt come from “Big Time” programs so there is no doubt they will suck. Stop it!
Why would a recruit want to come to UNT when the fan board is full of people telling them that we will be terrible, the coach is temporary, and everyone we are bringing in could not make the JV at their high school?
The playing field is now heavily tilted toward the larger schools and schools with lots of NIL money. There will still be opportunities to get decent recruits if we dont ruin our chances by “poisoning the waters” before they ever take a visit.
Please just stop it.
You think this fanbase is bad? These guys are tame compared to most boards. Fans gripe and complain, its what we do.

The problem with America is they take the advice from a moron comedian who hosted fear factor instead of licensed medical professionals. I listen to the JRE but I don't take it seriously. He has said numerous times that he is not anti-vaccine, but the media only reports what they want to report.
Rogan took advice from many medical experts and the concoctions he used work.
Who took advice from Rogan? The same idiots that took advice from Fauci?- 3

Jumping on and off the ship does not do the program any good.
Supporting this program does me absolutely no good and is definitely not my top priority. There are activities that bring more joy than sitting in a 75% empty Apogee stadium with poor connection, crappy sound system and lousy team play. I don't worry about what is good for North Texas, WB or SL, only worry about me and my family. I am sure you can understand my stance.

Let me preface by saying... I think Joe Rogan is an ogre that just spews his stream of consciousness without filter, leading to a lot of really dumb things being said.
But that is being countered by equally-appalling posturing & virtue signaling. It's just these things can be done under a veil of righteousness. Neil got his card pulled.
Apparently Spotify accounts for 60% of his streams:
https://www.nme.com/news/music/neil-young-claims-spotify-removal-will-cost-him-60-per-cent-of-streaming-income-in-the-name-of-truth-3147562
He'll likely re-join Spotify without any attention in a few months & act like nothing ever happened. Gotta make a living, right? Apparently Spotify knows this, because in their statement about it, they said: "...hope to welcome him back soon." Lol.just because you don't like what Rogan says doesn't make it a stream of consciousness without filter. I don't particularly care for Don Lemon but.....you get my point.

Yet you provide absolutely no links to back anything up? Look, you are a flaming liberal that hates Trump, we all get it. But anytime someone asks about this current, pathetic administration you back track and never answer a direct question. You would make an excellent politician.
