You have been here hours "officially" so you might be a bit late on common knowledge... and not to deter from that commitment to join GMG. FYI... I am not the AD, or an employee of, so I didn't and wasn't responsible for his extension.
Actually I joined before but because of the pure idiocy i saw here i quit using my account and hadn’t been on here for a couple years. Just joined again to see if this had gotten any better.
I never said you were responsible nor did i imply it..my point was that it never should’ve happened. Never once accused you of being involved.- 1

Pony up his buyout then. We literally save 2 million, we don't really have on-hand, to do it at the end of the year.
Ive got a better idea! Maybe don’t throw a bunch of money at a HC who in every big game(minus Arkansas) in his first 3 seasons he either lost or got blown out in. He was never deserving of the kind of buy out or salary he received after just two back-to-back 9 win seasons and a clear gap being shown between the best in conference and us.
All i ask is make it known you’re done with him and begin looking for your next HC.
Also do you know how much Dan McCarneys buyout was? $2mil and we fired him mid-season

Its a huge year for coaching changes. USC, LSU, Tech, TCU, WSU, UConn, Georgia Southern are all already open
UNT, SMU(if Dykes leaves), Virginia Tech, Stanford, Nebraska, FIU, Miami, USF, FSU, Colorado and god knows how many more could all be looking for new HCs this offseason.
UNT must get this right

TCU lets Patterson go, most winning coach in TCU history but not that impressive over the last few years. Yeah at UNT we keep our six year coach because he has done so much for the program.
Yep..thats how pathetic UNT is in regards to football. A loser mentality that is completely fine with being garbage and letting it remain if someone is a good guy

1-3. With how this team has played id imagine we somehow find a way to lose to Southern Miss, lose to UTEP, beat FIU and then get slaughtered by UTSA. Hope im wrong but i have little hope

I saw that. Id suspect several players will begin transferring whether or not Littrell is fired. Rather just fire him now and let the ones who wanna go get out now so the next HC can figure things out fast..but that wont happen

I’m impressed they had the fight and drive to pull out the win vs Rice..but it was an ugly win over another bad team. Something must change ASAP

This program has NEVER had discipline on of off the field under Littrell. One of the worst things about him as a HC

I like Keeler from SHSU and Carthel. Not sure with the price range we will probably end up if he (Carthel) will be considered. He might need to take a FBS D-coordinator job first if he wants to end up a coach FBS HC
Completely forgot about KC Keeler. He’d be another good option but I’d think if he wanted to move up then he’d have done it already. But we’ll see

In a couple years UTSA may be wondering if they just got Littrelle'd
This is different. Hes a better recruiter, a HC who can make adjustments and develop talent and he’s likely going to be undefeated by seaosns end. The ONLY reason Littrell came back to UNT was because he didn’t get all the money he wanted to bring his own staff at the pay they wanted at K-State. If he did we’d be in a very different position right now. Littrell never was very energetic to begin with but hasnt seemed to give a shit since he signed his extension

Art Briles- the best option based on his history as a HC but with a ton of baggage and UNT would receive a media shit show from it because of what happened at Baylol
Kendal Briles- a potentially good option as he has had success at every stop as an OC but has no HC experience plus he still has the stain of Baylol on him
Colby Carthel- a very good option i think that has shown he can build programs based on what he did at Texas A&M-Commerce and winning a D2 NC there and now at SFA by turning around a complete joke of a program. But he has no FBS experience which puts people off
Joey McGuire- another choice ive heard about recently on here and from others and he is from the DFW area with a history of success at pretty much every stop whether HS or College. But he has no HC experience at the collegiate level which is a concern or mine but i think he would be quite possibly the best fit at UNT
I really have no idea what UNT will end up doing but whatever it is they need to fire Littrell ASAP and have there next HC ready to go or go get immediately after. UNT is falling further behind every single week

He’s been very critical of TCU fans, could only imagine how he’d treat the ones at NT.
He’d tear into UNT fans and rightfully so

Yay…10yrs of potentially getting railed by UTSA. UNT NEEDS to make the right hire here

But he is probably comfortable where he lives and it is a short drive to Denton 😇
Haha i doubt it honestly. Id definitely consider it but idk if he’d want to do a rebuild and play at a lower level

He will either land as a G5 HC or a DC for a P5(much more likely)

Im fine with firing him once the season is over, I just want it announced like what LSU and Orgeron did where hes done but he can finish the season if he’d like
