Watching the game I was a little shocked that we were in it. The defense was playing more like what the fan base expected at the beginning of the year and was keeping it close.
BUT when your QB barely throws over 50% completions and 2 of his 5 TD passes are to the other team (Center was responsible for the fumble with the poor snap)—that is difficult to overcome.- 5

Whomever is the most accurate and healthy.

Floating around 50% completion percentage is awful

We still find a way to 6-6 but lose the bowl and finish 6-7. New coach and head into the AAC. Again, I hope the change occurs sooner rather than later.

Obvious—
Qb, Interior DL, Tackles, Cb (we lack speed), safety (size and hitting power).
Lb- are good enough but could use some size.
We are good at:
Interior OL, Rb, TE and WR on offense
defense: some individuals are good but collectively we are lacking

That wasn’t a chase-off like Perry was, Biagi moved up.
But Seth could have moved him up here.

The roster has more consistent depth than before he arrived. He and the staff have failed at the portal — huge. JuCo as well— fail.
Alec Morris— Alabama; Austin Aune— TCU (committ), NY Yankees, Arkansas; Jace Ruder— UNC; Armani Gillmore— Kentucky; JD Head— La Tech; Earle— Tarlton. He has gone to the portal for P5’s predominately at the Qb position but has swung and missed. He also prefers big athletes at the position over pure passers. Miss again.
Replacing staff was another problem— OC, DC, and Qb coach. He ran off some others than we’re good to great recruiters.
Would love to see the move after Memphis— Start on the process and name the new person the day after the season ends. Trying to salvage the December recruiting period. Also, would allow the team to refocus against a weak CUSA schedule either building momentum (and not allowing it to be credited to Mumbles) or complete train wreck and we can blame it on a Mumbles hangover.
If Wren finds and names them, then they can build an AAC staff, hopefully retain our best players, and recruit.

3rd and short, red zone, and 4th down play execution and creativity were more of a problem than Aune’s play. Was he great— no, but. . . That combined with a poor defense= disaster!

I have to say, if we had the money 💰 it would be nice to bring him here with his former coach Justin Fuente as the OC/QB/Associate HC (head coach I’m waiting). But alas- that won’t happen.
I still am hopeful that it will be Justin Fuente or Jeff Grimes, but that will depend the staffs that either could put together.

Prefer the ice white uniforms but classic is a close second.👍

Need someone that wants to be here to stay here and make it right. Younger hungry guys with salty ones to give guidance and wisdom. Build it, extend it and then when someone calls you make the jump and others stay behind to continue. This has been their model

If Aune starts then he only needs to play a quarter (no more than 2 series). Gunnels second quarter and first series of the 2nd half. Then two others split the rest of their time. OL ones play1st half, mixed with twos during 3rd quarter and full on twos during the 4th. What do you all think?
