If it was for lack of effort, this might work... but that isn't it, and doing that would just make it worse.  People generally don't respond to well to that... unless for not giving it your all.

I'm just going say, with the # of sacks and hits fine has taken.. he needs to give them a spark..

Our Oline has been completely dominated all season.  We could put Tom Brady out there and it wouldn't matter.

Maybe be different if Fine was chewing them out.. would like to see him just get up one play and go off on them, and hope that lights a fire under them

The tale of the tape won't show it, but the D played their asses off with no help from the offense.

Last o-line configuration of the night looked like it finally clicked.

The OL that started the night was the one from the end of the rice game..

  4. I think the most frustrating thing is how's well we moved it on the 1st drive and then on the last 2. everything between that was down right bad, which I think we can agree upon as well.. the defense keeps missing tackles and getting these stupid penalties. I understand playing aggressive but they need to learn how to manage this.. this is week 5 and almost 2 months of practices now.. they need to straighten this out, it cost us vs. SMU with the big plays, Rice which we were able to overcome, tonite neither side really helped the other.. Defense as just to damn tired, and kept shooting itself in he foot with either stops on 3rd then a penalty or just getting beat.

as bad as this sounds, Ekler and them on defense have to expect that they will not be bailed out by this offense. I'm hoping that we can get in some OL support as well in this upcoming class that can compete on day 1.. Davis probably has the hardest job on the staff

  5. I'm not sure about the Bus, when I was up at West Point we had to walk, but this was 2 years ago when they played Buffalo. If your walking from the Ferry to the Stadium, be ready to walk a long distance and up some very steep hills.. But probably the most beautiful view you will see of any stadium.

Let him meet Bryce English and company, maybe Raveon will get cleared by the NCAA by then.

If this kid were to come for a visit, could english interact with him on the sidelines/in the stands? would be great to have players like Orr/Quinn/Robertson/Dunbar on the sideline as well at the same time

This is my nephew (great). I continue to talk up UNT but no offer from the Mean Green. Class of 2018. Offers from many Big 12 and other P5's but no UNT. He really loves Nebraska from his visit. He hears from them often. Does not like Baylor because he had to pay parking on his visit. Has visited UT and A&M and offers are pending. Grades should not be a problem but he is struggling with his spanish class this semester.  Rated as one of the top DL nationally in the 18 class. Will be a top 50 in Texas.

If UNT came into the running, would he really consider us? or his mind set on going to a Power 5 school?

With the way our WRs are playing so far, I'm thinking tossing Pirtle out there might be a good idea. He and Mason obviously have chemistry and it might help Mason ease into being the starting QB a bit more. He doesn't need to be in the 2-deep but let him in on a few snaps here and there. Has anybody heard anything about him so far this season?

Ive been saying this from the start with Fine and your right on point.. SL wants to bring a QB every year and I think we should bring in that QBs top target or at least 1 of them. Doing this will help that QB ease into the playbook and have a certain sense of trust with someone plus it also adds to our skill depth as well. People may not agree, but that QB having someone to talk and to help with studying film and even just going out and throwing passes.

Starting to get a new offer weekly. (Class of 2018) I've been talking up UNT to him for 2 years now. Was listed as one of the top Soph's in the 2015 Texas Football Magazine while at Skyline; transferred to Bishop Dunne prior to the season. Dunne will have as many D1 recruits as anyone in 17 & 18. No UNT offer yet

I saw the first 3/4 clips of him... Someone please tell me the coaches are going after this kid. Would be amazing to have him paired up with english in the coming years.
