Bear with me on this one: wife of one my annual tailgate attendees adores Ms. Drummond and would like to "see" her at the game on 10.15. Literally, just see. From a distance. Really.

Anyone have an idea in what section the Drummond family sits? PM me if the answer shouldn't be publicly posted. In fairness, I am in section 110 and I don't mind if anyone wants to come see me. From a distance.

We sit in 205. They sit in the section that is to our left and down one, whatever that is, second row from back0 I've seen a couple of others get pics with her and she seems very nice about it.

  2. After the basketball tournament was cancelled, I let the department keep the money I had used to buy my full set of tickets to the entire tournament. I renewed my football tickets very early on for the 2020 year. My wife has already informed me that if the season is cancelled, we won't be letting the department keep our money. I am not going to argue with her, but I do wonder what it will do to the department if everyone wants a refund. I assume some of that money has been spent. I also wonder what it does as far as club points, or whatever you call them, goes as well.

Never had to close for the flu? Every year several Arkansas districts will close for a few days or a week because so many kids and teachers are getting sick.

Never have. My first couple of years teaching were in Florida. We closed once for a hurricane and once for a wildfire. Ironically, I had the flu during he hurricane and would have stayed home, but instead was forced to go to a hurricane evacuation center and expose everyone there.

  4. As a school teacher, I am sure that the place I am most likely to be exposed to any illness is in my classroom, and I will gladly go back there five days a week next year. Going into Apogee six times will be an easy call.

As far as vaccines go, I get a flu shot every year and will continue to despite the fact that it is usually about 25% effective it seems. A few years after the corona vaccine is available, if no one has grown an third nipple or anything, I'll consider it.

On another note, in my twenty two years teaching the only lock down we ever had was because someone let a dog into the building.

  5. Sometime over the last couple of football seasons they were giving away black face and neck covers with white North Texas/SOW logos on them at Apogee, the spandex kind that slips over your whole head. I still have mine and have been wearing it.
