UNT over Baylor was certainly a quality win - no doubt about it - especially considering Baylor's subsequent upset of Texas ... However, after a quick look at other SBC schedules, I could not find another OCC win I would label "quality" ... Also, although Denver has been ranked before this year, they have failed to win a NCCA tournament game as far as I can tell.

Sun Belt Conference soccer is like SBC football ... no respect, mostly because of a lack of quality OCC wins. There's an occasional UNT over Baylor like win, but those are few & far between.
Nevertheless, UNT is in the hunt for the regular season title.
There are 2 big conference games this week-end.
(The box score of the Denver game actually indicated a 20-9 shot tally.)

"In a defensive struggle, North Texas made team history by not allowing a single shot on goal the entire game."

Hext home game: Sunday vs. Valparaiso

The freshman class is indeed excellent. Don't forget midfielder Slavonic & defender Weller. It still doesn't mask tha fact that team speed and conditioning could be better and it showed against SMU & (apparently) Rice as well. At least no one's calling for Hedlind's head.

SMU dominated. UNT spend practically the whole game chasing their speedy forwards. The midfield looked gassed after 30 min. Truly disappointing.

Good for her. Gotta wonder why she comes off the bench.
-
Beating Baylor was nice, but SMU wil be a much tougher test.

I assume this will be at the soccer field (?).
