The report I received (from an eyewitness) is that MTSU had been grabbing and fouling and holding MM from the outset, and the referee was actually doing a decent job and calling fouls. Finally, after yet another hold (which was called a foul) MM just snapped and swung at the MTSU player. Not sure how well she connected. The referee really had no choice at that point but to red card MM. Obviously MTSU got what they were after, with USA benefiting also.
It was a disappointing reaction from such a veteran player as MM.
Anyway, as Hedlund said, this is a great opportnuity for the team to show that they are not a one player team. A win against USA on their pitch without MM will certainly be an accomplishment.

The soccer team has two big games coming up:
Wednesday @ SMU - We need a big crowd from UNT at this one ... come to the game at Wescott field and make some noise!
Sunday vs. Florida International - this game has important SBC tournament implications & is the final home game of the year.

I haven't heard anything and am not trying to start any rumors - but has the possibility of intercollegiate baseball at UNT ever come up?

For a Division I athletic website it is lacking in 3 respects:
[1] as was mentioned before - boring writing (zzzzzzz)
[2] old pictures continuously recycled (why bother?)
[3] factual errors & untmiely updates - not very fan friendly
... it's what one would expect to see on a high school page.
*** It projects the image that athletics at UNT in not very important.
