love Ibiza but don't go nearly enough.
I live fairly close to Punks so we go there quite often. I have a love-hate relationship with the place. Outside of the fried chicken I think the food is pretty poor. But, the fried chicken is terrific and they have a great outdoor area to let the kids run around while you relax and have a beer or glass of wine.
To each his own. I love everything I've eaten at both Punk's and Ibiza, but I'm biased so I'll admit my opinion isn't 100% objective.

Try Ibiza. My uncle is the owner/chef there and they have some excellent food. The octopus is outstanding.

EDIT: I just read where you said "probably nothing expensive." He has a less expensive restaurant with some great southern food too (also, it's only a 9-minute, 0.5 mile walk from Rice Stadium):

I'm thinking 38-21 in favor of the Mean Green.

Was that the only pic you had of yourself? In a cheerleading outfit?? Duuuddddeeee
It's the only one that I knew of that said Elkhart on it...

But hey, the kid who did a great acting job in "Mud" is from Elkhart.
I know. And I still haven't gotten over that. Both of my little sisters know him. It's crazy.
-
On top of the size and rural location, Elkhart isn't a traditionally strong football program.
No offense.
Definitely. Elkhart is usually a terrible place for football.

Me now:
I know this has nothing to do with Jeffrey, but I'm from a VERY small town and VERY small school and it's so weird to see Elkhart mentioned here. Especially when my little sister has theatre with this guy right now.
That being said...he's supposedly pretty good and was a one man team at Elkhart this year. And according to my sister, UNT is the only school he mentions. He wants to come here.
-
This is so weird for me. I went to Elkhart from kindergarten through high school graduation. This Jeffrey dude has apparently been hitting on my little sister and my parents don't like him. So weird to see him mentioned in this capacity.

This may have been mentioned before, but I just noticed that we actually received some votes in the final USA Today Coaches' Poll. We made a lot of progress this season.

UNT gets some love. I like it!
Still hard for me to believe that the sunbelt is ranked higher in basketball... How!?
Weird...from everything I've read it's not.

FIOS 573 is ESPNU HD in Denton
Damn...yeah I see that now. I set the DVR from my phone and didn't see the HD version. That sucks.
-
Is ESPNU even available in HD anywhere?
I'm not sure. I know I only have it in SD with Verizon FiOS here in Denton. That's why I wish it had been on one of the other ESPN channels.

downloading it off of youtube then spiltting it into 2 halves so they can each fit onto a dvd.
hair pulling joy
I started to do the same thing. I'm going to re-encode it to make it fit on 1 DVD though. I was hoping to find a 720p stream of it somewhere, but so far no luck.

This may have been answered, but what side is UNT sitting on. My tickets that I bought through UNT came in the mail and our in section 128. According to the seating map that is the visitors side.
We're on the visitors' side for TV purposes.

Hello, I was curious to see if UNT was included into CUSA in NCAA Football 2014 on XBOX 360 and also if they finally included UNT's Apogees Stadium into the Gameplay and the actual stadium is shown in home games.
Sorry if this was asked at an earlier time, was thinking about buying a copy if it includes those things in the game. Thanks Again

Crap...just saw that you said included into CUSA in the game. That I don't know. Someone else may have some info on that?

The NCAA games include all FBS teams. So yes, North Texas is included in the game. Also, Apogee has been in the game for a few years now.Hello, I was curious to see if UNT was included into CUSA in NCAA Football 2014 on XBOX 360 and also if they finally included UNT's Apogees Stadium into the Gameplay and the actual stadium is shown in home games.

Don't know how to handle this, but I am up for donating $30 of that short fall so that they can attend. Let's work it out.
No they can pay it. Just like to save money where possible. It's not a big deal. We'll still all be there!

Does MG Athletics get full value for your ticket/seat? I know that these services have value and are necessary, but if you're a fan of Mean Green and want to support the program why would you try to short change the program in favor of saving 5 bucks?
As a bar rat who frequently goes to watch friends play their gigs, I never ever ask them to put me on "the list" or for free tickets. These guys need food money just like myself.
Joshdude: certainly not trying to put you/your parents under the microscope with this question. Just trying to understand how the system works.
Okay we'll just get regular tickets. My parents are just broke these days putting my brother through a private school in Arkansas and my sister through a private school in east Texas. They're gonna be bringing 6 people and $30 is a lot of savings...that's why I asked. I'm a college student who can't afford to subsidize them. I have no desire to shortchange the athletic department.
North Texas to Mountain West?

I don't know how many of you spend time on the C-USA board, but I do, and it's commonly pointed out that C-USA is the worst of the FBS conferences. The days of Houston and UCF are gone. Conference USA is now the Sun Belt 2.0 and the new Sun Belt is actually a higher rated conference by most analyses.
I am happy to play other Texas schools as much as anyone, but when those Texas schools are UT offspring schools (UTSA and UTEP) it just gives off a very small-time vibe and Rice just isn't committed to a winning football program. I'd much rather be in a stronger conference whose name actually commands some respect from causal fans. C-USA is a doormat conference and I know that we haven't even won it yet, which also makes us a doormat, but if we're talking about bettering our athletics programs, the Mountain West is a big step in the right direction. Away attendance is a small factor, in my opinion.
For those advocating C-USA over the Mountain West, is C-USA the conference we want to be associated with? It can be argued whether or not the Orlando Sentinel and other publications are accurate in their predictions and evaluations, but the point is, this is how our conference is perceived, and perception is extremely important. Is this the best we can hope for?
