Dare you to say that to his face.

Actually he will tell you straight up if people have a horrible pro day or not.   Remind you that lots of Seniors went to specialist in preparation for their pro-days.  LOTS of North Texas guys trained with/at Michael Johnson speed camps for it.

I'm not a Wintrich fan.  Remember how horrible our seniors tested at their Pro Day?   He has some off the wall ideas that sound good but don't seem to translate onto the field.

Apparently his system works well enough for Chip Kelly to poach him and three of his assistants from Bronco Mendenhall.  Goes from the lowest paid ACC strength coach to the highest paid Pac 12 Strength Coach.

Watch the second half of the Ball State game.  Their o-linemen were puking their guts up the entire 4th qtr.

It’s never easy getting people who are conditioned to loathe athletics or be apathetic to it to change that mindset. Most of those members and their families and friends who come to watch them performer truly believe that game days at apogee are built around halftime.

Theres not another single university that I am aware of that has this identity issue like we do...

    Believe it or not.... Aggies.

Wow, is this like that scene from Star Wars when Obi-won tells the stormtroopers (paraphrasing), the droids you're looking for are not here?!

It's amazing that you know exactly how I would react in a given situation!

Because I know how actual players' parents reacted under similar situations.  It's totally different when it's your kid.   You never want your kid to be pulled off the field.  Even if he is hurt your mind set is that "it's not that bad" and you want them to get back in the game because the alternative is that it is "that bad".   I have been in that situation many times.

Ask the Thompsons. They will tell you the exact same thing.

I believe they can still call targeting for a shoulder to the head/neck region with an upward trajectory.  All of which that play had.   Twice we got screwed on Targeting calls this season.

Not when he is a runner.  He clearly became a runner. It was a nasty looking hit but perfectly legal. They got that one right.

I'm talking about getting your starting quarterback killed. The head to head collision on Fine, late in the 4th quarter, never should have happened because he should not have been in the game. There was no point in him being in the game, not to mention that he could barely stand up at that point. He was getting rocked all game, and at some point this coaching staff needed to say enough was enough. If I were his parents I'd be appalled.

No you wouldn't. If you were the father of a starting D1 QB you would be pissed because they pulled him.  Your only chance of winning, however slim, is to have your best players on the field.

I think their combine performances will be more important for that group than where they played in college. These are all slated as top players by multiple ranking agencies. Plays projected in lower rounds certainly are effected by the name of their college.

    If they get invited......

SBC is beneath us, in the order of the G5, it's a no brainier.

Maybe so but would you schedule  App. State, Arkie State, Troy or even Monroe during the regular season?  There isn't a lick of difference in those programs and UNT.  UNT didn't exactly knock it out of the park against lower level CUSA teams.

You think they would have the been there done that vs a team like WVU potentially? I would hope they learned their lesson after FAU

The game against WVU? No. The week leading up to the game?  Yes.  But one does impact the other.  I'd prefer to go somewhere else just to avoid that potential.

What lesson did the trip to FAU impart upon them, other than what used to be Baylor is now FAU?    It's not even comparable to a bowl trip.  Now how they deal with a rematch with FAU is a totally different conversation.

HoD with UCLA/WVU.. not sure what to make of a UNT vs WVU potential game..

It would be very interesting and high scoring.. I just fear the potential for a big beatdown

You don't want to do another HoD Bowl, specially back to back and so close to home.  Did that back in school with the Cotton Bowl. The second time was "ho hum".  You get the "been there, done that" attitude.

WVU would be interesting.  It would certainly be a measuring stick game.
