As best as I can remember, all fraternities required their pledges to attend every home game.
I made them wear green too and go in early and save my spot on the front row. Oh the good ole days. Would send them home if they didn't wear green.

What a toxic thread lol, but @Censored by Laurie I agree. Like I’ve said in the past, he’s given UNT more than about anyone in only 2 years. We shouldn’t be that mad he’s moving on, it’s how CBB is.
Its ok to be mad that a great coach leaves your program. Same with great players. It's also ok to be happy about winning the nit and enjoying that fun moment. We don't all have to be on the same page with everythig. As long as you don't cross a line with disrespect then who cares if someone is salty we lost a good coach. Things can be understandable and still frustrate you. My frustration doesn't lie with Grant or Tylor but more so on our students, alumni, and community who don't do a great job of supporting the athletic programs. It has come a long way in the last 20 years but the more fans that get frustrated when good people leave us for "better" programs isn't a bad thing.

If you look on the UNT website for donations, there's a link to donate for the athletic center.
Jared Mosley wanted to expand the athletic center just as much as Wren
thats all i donate towards.

Maybe we will see one but we also don’t usually stay on the court for a half hour celebrating either so maybe there won’t be a video.

Anyone in attendance today knows there were prob 5k there. It was good atmosphere and probably the best of the season. Hard not to think about how great it could be in a 6700 seat arena. Super pit is soon to be as old as fouts was when we went across the highway. A new arena is coming, not sure how soon but I’ll be ready when it does

I noticed Perry was sitting for long stretches of the game in the 2nd half. I'm just assuming he was being rested?

push football games back to 6 pm because students are not going to cook in the sun at 3 pm.

The best entrances in college football usually having a giant flag at the front leading the team out. I think our N O R T H T E X A S is wayy too much. I think a huge battle flag leading the boys out would be way better. That and a slightly smaller SOW right behind it.

My buddies 3 year old was at the game with his grandparents and I went into the store to buy him a gift. Something to commemorate his first apogee experience. Was very disappointed that they didn’t have anything but shirts and some basic stuff. Why does rally house have dozens of stuffed scrappys but apogee doesn’t? Not really connected to this topic but I had to vent. The music idea is a good one. Also the beer tent they had at fouts was awesome. If they had something like that for the students to go to instead of the fraternities tailgates that would be cool. I’m sure there are lots of students who want to go to the game but don’t think there is anything for them prior to kickoff.

I know people are saying student turnout was bad because it was a pain to get their tickets, but I’ll say once again, fan apathy is real. Fans know they will beat losing teams and don’t buy the hype of “they’ve turned things around”. I called this before the season when Littrell wasn’t fired. We’ve seen this show before. Lose to UTSA and you’ll be lucky to see over 10K in the stadium
We could get beat by a combined 100 points against utsa and western and I’d bet my salary homecoming would get more than 10k. Even in the crappiest years people come for homecoming. On the other hand if we came back 5-0 in conference be ready for 28k

I just have higher expectations.
Then 11-3?? What expectations do you have? I don’t get how you can say there’s no scenario where you think he shouldn’t be retained? I mean we aren’t winning out but we are playing hypothetical games here and that just makes no sense.

Can you add an option for "no amount"? It is time to move on. If you want this to continue - YOU are part of the problem. Let's use our move to the American to end the acceptance of average being good enough.
No amount? If you wouldn’t take a coach back after an 11-3 season with a conference title and a bowl win not to mention 14 straight conference wins then you are part of the problem

This is the weirdest tradition we have here in Gomeangreen. Is this a thing on all message boards or we just being creepy “adopting” players.

Classy. Wish he was a representative of our university.
So, I can add you to the group that believes if someone else does it, then it is okay for us? Maybe we should follow LSU's lead and throw liquor bottles full of piss on our opponent's fans while toothless 4th graders cuss us a blue streak, or spread feces on the buses of the opposing team like Tech fans did years ago to A&M. That would reflect well on good ol' UNT.
Whatever group you’d like to add me to is up to you.

I think you meant to say it is Mother-F'ing dumb. I want to be a part of your tailgate.
I would agree it is that dumb. A sweet 16 is greater than any nit run could be. I love a good would you rather but that was one wasn’t balanced well. You’re welcome to come by and have a beer any time. Gmg

There was one drunk from the maniac area that thought it would be a good idea to stumble around the concourse directing F bombs toward the family in blue we sat behind and every other fan dressed in blue he passed. They had 3 kids under 7 and I had 2 under 7.
Should I appreciate that guy showing up?
Absolutely not.

That’s because you’re an adult and not offended by mean old words that society told you are “bad”
Data shows the tailgates hosted by people who think it’s ok for the students to say that bad word are 10x better than those who are against it.

I was apart of the 2013 era drama with mother__cking eagles. (LOL, love the word filters, are we children here?) Rick tried his damndest to end it, by making the band go right into Fly Like an Eagle and skipping that part of the song entirely.
Guess what, it didn’t work and we just did the part of the song even louder over the band. 3 games later they gave up.
It was a stupid complaint then and still stupid and childish now. You won’t win this battle. You lost it before and will lose it again. College kids will be college kids. Guess what? I chanted MF’in Eagles back in 2010, but don’t do it now. It hasn’t “corrupted” or “tarnished” me or the university.
Was still saying it Saturday and won’t ever stop. #nevergraduate
