Agreed, especially getting the bball games here.
On the other hand, not many SBC teams we can beat with this program. 😢Could not even beat bad CUSA teams last season. You are correct. Our football program is not in good shape right now.

I will wait until official practices to start. Then again, those haven’t really proven anything in the past, have they.
Yes scripted typically and mean nothing in my book. Fall is what counts.

Wow... Looks like my predictions will be correct to even the exact record. I predicted them to finish 4 games above .500 and that is likely to occur.
Are you really a fan? Cause your posts don't really sound like it. Why are you even here?

Losing McCasland was a big loss.
He is a great coach. I sometimes think he could be the next Coach K.

Would it be better to rest him more since UTSA is...just UTSA?
You have a good point.

Though he can get reps and warm up in practice it shouldn’t hurt to get him 5-6 minutes in a couple games before the tournament. Run with the starters as they mask/shield and let him go 50-60 percent even. Just getting in game minutes. Don’t want him cold and then suddenly starting and getting 30 plus minutes come tournament time.
He still looked stiff on the bench. I worry that this could go beyond the post season. I hope I am wrong.
On a positive note it seems like Buggs is stepping up his game as is Robert.

A good event. I got to visit with several of the ladies and they were very gracious with me and my family signing autographs and visiting with my daughter who is playing basketball for her school.

We need football. What we don't need is our 3 million dollar budgeted sport out classing our 11 million dollar budgeted sport year after year after year after year after year... eventually common minds will come together and cut that 11 million dollars and give some to the sport that actually performs. To me, that "eventually" is now. It's not justifiable to blindly dump that money into a failing product yoy. And given the rules now in place, it never will be. Put the money into what will garner positive attention to the university. After all, sports is the front porch to the university, right? I promise you, the forward thinking universities in our peer group are already having these conversations. We can be proactive for once, or me reactive as per usual.

First you guys need to stop fighting aftwr such a big win. Take that shit outside.
fantastic victory however we were like 6 of 16 from the FT line so it could have been a blowout.
Buggs deserves the game ball.

Are ESPN2 games able to be replayed on their website? I am out of town on business and not sure I will get to see the start.
In my experience they are not, only the ones on ESPN plus.

If we keep losing all of our best players to the portal and we know that a good high school player is going to leave us as soon as they show to be good why not go for only guys with one year left of eligibility period? Seems that way you get a proven talent that flat out cannot leave for another program. That should be the focus or am I missing something?

Coach Pete was a bad coach, his reference I am assuming was a joke.
Why do you consider Petersen a bad coach? Thought he was much better than Jaley.

I think it is a nice add, and he may do some good things. The more pressing need is we need a fire hydrant at the nose tackle position and it is the most important position on the defense in a 3-3-5 scenario.

The UNT men’s basketball team held another opponent to a season low scoring output as they defeated Temple Saturday afternoon at the Super Pit, 69-51.
The Mean Green (10-5, 3-0) have now won five in a row overall, 16 in a row at home and remain undefeated in conference this season.
“The commitment from everyone today was off the charts,” said junior CJ Noland who scored 14 points and had four rebounds Saturday. “Everyone is committed to winning and making winning plays on defense and offense.
“But we know we still have a lot of room to get better for sure,” he added.
UNT, who entered Saturday with the nation’s No. 3 scoring defense holding opponents to 58.9 points per game, contained the Owls (8-9, 1-3) to just 4-of-18 shooting from deep. Temple entered the contest as one of the nation’s top teams at shooting 3-pointers. After Saturday, North Texas opponents are only averaging 58.4 points per game.
Offensively, North Texas had four players score in double figures and nearly five as Rondel Walker finished with a season-high nine points to go along with four rebounds and two steals. Guard Jason Edwards, just one game removed from his explosive 37-point performance last week, once again led his team in scoring as he finished with 16 points.
Junior Aaron Scott was not too far behind with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Senior big man Robert Allen finished with a season-high 11 points and had three dunks in 24 minutes off the bench.
“We have a ton of respect for coach Fisher and Temple,” said head coach Ross Hodge. “They make things real difficult so I’m really proud of this group.”
Next up the Mean Green travel to North Carolina for a two-game road trip. UNT starts with East Carolina on Wednesday and then Charlotte on Saturday. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network.
For more information on UNT men's basketball tickets, contact the Mean Green Ticket Office at 940-565-2527 or at ticketoffice@unt.edu. Fans can visit the UNT Athletics Ticket Office located at Gate 2 of DATCU Stadium between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

You are right on about Noland driving to the basket!!! Would like to see them spred the floor then let him drive to the hoop with his size.
My favorite play in the game was when CJ drove, missed the floater and then grabbed his own board and put it back in off the glass. The dude is starting to show he can lead this squad.
