  1. 2010 at UNT.

    http://riceowls.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/s...-schedules.html

And looking at Baylor's 2009 schedule, it is shown as complete and we are not on it. So I guess I am completely full of crap. So much for that prediction.

Heheheheh. As I recall, Baylor was a little unhappy about the facilities when they came up here. Silly things like the power going out in their locker room, having to use the women's locker room, etc.:lol:

  2. DD won 4 sunbelt championships, then didn't perform for 2 straight years...the axe....and TD? Well, I think we should see some progress this year and he should get 3 years to make his case, then you have to question your decision....were talking sunbelt competition here.....look at the situation with RM...in my opinion he was given tooooo long and showed no positive trend...TD should have made a change mid season, perhaps we would have won a few more games last year and sure would have said something about TD making the right decisions for this program...sometimes you have to give things time; sometimes you have to cut your losses....life ain't easy.

I do thing (as of now) that TD was a good choice for UNT and will prove to be an outstanding coach at the college level, but this is still to be determined....let's hope for the best.

Hmm . . . how long did DD get so that he could even have the opportunity to get some wins in? He was on the verge of losing his job prior to winning that first championship. I'm sure TD will get less time (but no more than an equal amount of time) to make his case b/c the expectations are higher with him.

  3. TD having to adjust to a new defense is from his own doing. I can't say that he's going to get a pass from me just b/c he f'ed up the first time around with his selection of a DC or failure to make a change sooner. Although, in some ways, I'm glad it worked out so that we got Deloach.

  4. it looks like some teams are having second thoughts or else there is some confusion in "confirmations" with offers to play being listed as "confirmations" and then a school winds up deciding not to. definitely growing pains for the first year of the cbi

  5. Seton Hall has supposedly declined, Valpo in instead.

well, with this change, the bracket is all farked up now. now, i'm not sure where you send rider and you have a cluster of three schools near each other in iupui, bradley and valparaiso.

  6. so i'm guessing the games will be set up something like:

    utep (tx) at nevada (nv)

    ohio (oh) at cincinnati (oh)

    iupui (in) at bradley (il)

    utah (ut) at washington (wa)

    tulsa (ok) at houston (tx)

rider (nj) at seton hall (nj)

    richmond (va) at virginia (va)

leftovers - brown (ri) and unc wilmington (nc)

brown kind of messes things up, but unc wilmington could play either virginia or richmond and teams could shift north or you could just have one purely non-regional match-up

editing based on confirmations of who is hosting/going on the road

    nevada (nv) at utep (tx)

    ohio (oh) at cincinnati (oh)

    iupui (in) at bradley (il)

    utah (ut) at washington (wa)

    houston (tx) at tulsa (ok)

rider (nj) at seton hall (nj)

    richmond (va) at virginia (va)

leftovers - brown (ri) and unc wilmington (nc) (would assume that unc wilmington hosts if this is the last match-up)

  7. Seems to be trickling in team by team with no brackets.

Here is what I've been able to find so far.

    Houston

    Virginia

    Ohio

    Brown

    Utah

    Washington

    Cincinatti

    UTEP

    Bradley

    Richmond

    Nevada

    Tulsa

    Seton Hall

    UNC Wilmington

    IUPUI

    Rider

so i'm guessing the games will be set up something like:

    utep (tx) at nevada (nv)

    ohio (oh) at cincinnati (oh)

    iupui (in) at bradley (il)

    utah (ut) at washington (wa)

    tulsa (ok) at houston (tx)

rider (nj) at seton hall (nj)

    richmond (va) at virginia (va)

leftovers - brown (ri) and unc wilmington (nc)

brown kind of messes things up, but unc wilmington could play either virginia or richmond and teams could shift north or you could just have one purely non-regional match-up

  8. FLorida and Ohio State could meet again for the championship -- just not the NCAA title.

The field was announced for the National Invitational Tournament on Sunday, and the defending national champion Gators made the field, along with the Buckeyes.

Although Florida beat Ohio State for the NCAA title last season, the Buckeyes earned a higher seed in the NIT tourney this year, receiving a No. 1. Florida received a No. 2 seed.

The tournament runs from Tuesday to April 3 and will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN Classic. The semifinals and championship game take place in Madison Square Garden in New York.

The Big East contributed two of the other No. 1 seeds in Virginia Tech and Syracuse. Arizona State received the other top seed, in the bracket that contains Florida.

Ohio State starts play against eighth-seeded UNC-Asheville on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET, ESPN2), while Florida begins against No. 7 seed San Diego State on Wednesday (9 p.m. ET, ESPN2).

lol. at least we're not the only conference that espn doesn't pay attention to
