I noticed that all the quotes from $mu players and coaches stated how poorly they played. Not one person metioned that (maybe) we were the reason they played poorly. Class?

I think you have to work for The Longhorn Network before you can move up to Fox News.

Lacey was at our school Friday when ESPN taped the slam dunk contest. She was a hit with our students.

Make it happen. I would make it to Oklahoma.

Rumor from Austin, UNT and UTSA basketball jobs are about to be open. All ways fun to hear expert high school coaches talk at the beer garden.

One thing interesting to me about this article, is how much the players in terms of talent and chemistry play a role in success.
Of course coaching matters, but even USA Today misses the fact that Underwood hasn't done crap yet. They say, "Brad Underwood has constructed a team..." Come on -- He is winning with the talent and philosophy that Danny Kaspar left behind. And kudos to him for doing that.
This isn't meant as an absolve Benford thread - to the contrary, I have major questions about him and the team he is assembling.
As an aside -- does anyone know why Kaspar left SFA? They are poised for a NCAA run and he probably could have parlayed that into a bigger gig than TSU no?
Kaspar almost doubled his salary by going to TSU. He hopes it will be easier to recruit to being near two airports. His daughter graduated from TSU this past December so the family could be together a while longer. Plus San Marcos ain't Nacogdoches.
Underwoods genius is that he recogized what they talent he inherited was good at and kept 80% of what they were used to doing.

David Gish 1984 UNT grad former NTSU student trainer and current Head Athletic Trainer at Texas State was told he has stage 4 esophageal cancer this past fall. For those of us that know him it was a shock to find out. He is a good family man, lives a healthy life style with no family history of cancer.
TSU is hosting a fun run on April 12th to help raise funds to help with his medical bills. Please consider attending of just making a donation if you can. Also feel free to share the link below.

Vic Trilli checked in at #5, with a discussion of the 74 point loss to Maryland discussed (apperantly Rich Philkips issued the line "damn, I had Maryland minus 75")
Todd Dodge checked in at #3 with the discussion that his coaching record was the 6th worst winning percentage in NCAA history.
George was just so beat down.
For those that care, #2 was the imfamous one game wonder Eddie Stankty.
The top prize went to announcer turned head Mavs coach Quinn Buckner, who holds the worst record of any rookie NBA coach that completed at least one season.
The line was UNT +48 that day. I was I was in Vegas and put $50 on UNT. When I got my fund raiser letter from the school I sent them the ticket.

Maybe because we have sucked for two years and there is no hope nor reason to care.Have you checked out the team youtube channel or the comments section in the DRC etc... The only people who pay attention enough to know something needs to be done are in these boards. Everyone else sees the kids camps or the team reaching out to another sub pop and being out. There are 6 people on this thread right now. Not a lot... Those are the ones paying attention. Not your average citizen of denton country.

I'm going for the billion dollar bracket challenge.
No good. I'm afraid you would use that money to give him a lifetime contract.

Who in the general population is going to donate. Even more so who in the general population dislikes Benford? I have only heard good things from people about his holding players accountable and teaching them there is a life after basketball. Most people see that and his work with camps in the community. Only bitter UNT fans want him gone. The average person cares less if we win or lose. Just the truth. Try talking to Ernie or someone like that. Not the general public.
Wait till I win the Power Ball.

He is bringing in some pretty good recruits this go around including Jeremy combs who is solid. Won't be to bare if someone else takes over.
Like when Benford took over a program with Mitchell and Franklin?

We covered the spread !!!
I had 1k on UNT with points and 3k on the over. To bad its a game app and not real money. UNT footbal and basketball are making me cyber rich. For different reasons of course.

I just took UNT +16.5. We can cover that, right?

Had to kick down my bathroom door, but it is on now.

You can never have enough lists.
I'm making a list of the all time greatest lists.

I opted to pick them up at the ticket office. Said I would get a call when they would be ready, but no call yet. I assume they are ready since others have already received via shipment. Guess I'll go to there tomorrow
They told me they would be ready for pick up on Friday.

Biggest home win this week.

When is the last time we looked better in the second half than in the first. Honest question, I can't remember.

It's like a constant rehash, but it needs to be said that no 21 year old college basketball player is going to be successful facing double and triple teams with an ineffective coaching plan for those situations and to avoid those situations.
Did TM get frustrated? Hell yea. Didn't you?
I will never understand why TM was not moved to the wing. 1. It seems his natural position. 2. If teams tried to double or triple team him on the wing Franklin could have scored 75 a night at the post.

Going to a memorial service in San Marcos. Head trainer at Texas State (North Texas 1984 grad). Lost his battle with cancer yesterday.
