No -  at the first Texas Rangers stadium!

My wife and I went to plenty of games there when we were dating.  I think we still have a few "batting helmet" ice cream cups in the back of the kitchen cabinet.  🙂

It was at Arlington Stadium.  If you watch the entire scene, in the background above Nuke's shoulder is the old WBAP 820 logo.  Back in the 80's WBAP was the radio station for the Rangers.

At the moment we have 30 plus open spots. That's kind of exciting. We have these guys on the staff with strong connections to the area. Let's see how it shakes out.

Best of luck to the guys leaving, we can find replacements in the portal and juco ranks. Notice a pattern with the guys leaving?

Ayo Adeyi (Transfered here from a D3 school)

Isaiah Johnson (Littrell signed him out of HS)

Logan Wilson ( 3rd time to transfer. He played at Kansas State and ULM before here.)

Stone Earle ( Transfer from ACU)

    Ja'Mori Maclin (Transfer from Missouri)

Ethan Miner (Transfer from Arkansas State)

As if we do not have a hard enough time trying to tackle the other team it frustrates me when our players are trying harder to strip the ball from the other player than wrapping him up and getting the stop. We have given up a lot of junk yardage from trying to strip the ball versus tackling.

It's more fun to play with the Turnover Toy than just a plain boring tackle.

I hope you are correct. I think a dry ball will be better for us either way. NOAA has said rain all day in denton since midweek.

    Denton:

    Today
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. High near 60. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
    Tonight
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Low around 45. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
    Sunday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4pm, then showers likely. Temperature falling to around 43 by 4pm. North wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

One thing I don't like about NWS's area forecasts is they are too generalized and not specific enough as to time of location.  Rain will clear Denton by 1:00 if not sooner

    This shows clearly the trend:

Forecast has consistently shown the rain will clear around kickoff.

Radar trends are backing that up.  Clearing line is now from central Dallas through south Fort Worth to around Granbury and moving north as a warm front passes.  Once that front lifts north, we should have temps in the 60's and 70's and muggy with maybe a few brief showers by game time.

It is good marketing and social media seems to be the way to influence students and younger potential fans these days.  Maybe it will pay off for them in more support eventually.

For now WKU is still stuck in CUSA.  Big Red hasn't helped them much as a program, other than social media clicks for their well-known Red Blob.

Hey, it looks good on those Tuesday and Wednesday night games.  Really shows off.
