Might even be encouraging that not everybody is wanting to go to "college". There are plenty of jobs that don't require it. I think it's desirable to have some sort of training for a career after HS, but college is definitely not mandatory for lots of great jobs, and as far as I'm concerned that's a good thing.

I saw this on the interwebs today. Not sure if I should be surprised.

Go back to 1940 and you just add Maryland, UCLA, Iowa, Syracuse, and Army.- 1

I think the Daily runs the same op piece every year. This is pretty much a non-issue.

Won't get into the entire mask debate, but in my opinion, the worst part of the entire mask issue is that it has drastically accelerated erosion of the public's trust in their government. It has been a clown show from day one.

I could never get my foot in the door when I graduated with a bachelors. Hands you shake I guess...
My guess is that it can be difficult due to some of the job opportunities being in niche fields.

Our company looks for grads of this program when hiring, and has hired several for specific positions.

What I gleaned from the court's decision is that he was fired because he refused to apologize and declined to be re-educated.
Not because of something he did. Because of something he wouldn't do.

Putting the merits of the lawsuit aside, responding to a flyer lying around by writing anonymously on a chalk board "please don’t leave garbage lying around” and then subsequently complaining in a lawsuit that microaggressions "suppresses alternative viewpoints instead of encouraging growth and dialogue" is some A+ level irony.
I would agree if he hadn't been fired and coerced to apologize for what appears to be a snarky comment, if what is alleged is true.
As it is, I don't see any irony. I think his point is being made by his boss' resulting actions.

Based on the history of that sponsor: extremely likely. They're homophobic zealots who do nothing more than try and push their belief systems into our schools and life under the guise of protecting religious freedom.
Okay, for the sake of argument, let's say you're right about your opinion of them.
Based on what you read regarding the case, and what the district court ruled, do you think the suit has merit?

Ah. Tells me all I need to know about this suit.
Clarification? Are you saying that the suit is without merit because of the sponsor?

Not sure if this has been posted. DRC is covering it, as well. Bears watching.

3) Ousmane HAS TO put in some work or we don’t stand a chance. We won’t beat either team by just passing it around the perimeter.
I'm relatively ignernt when it comes to basketball, but man, couldn't agree more with this. They've got to get at least some points in the paint, or be a threat there. Some credit to Texas State's defense too, though. They were pretty good.

This is not a gripe, but I felt like UNT's pep band got overshadowed by Texas State's band last night. That should NEVER happen. TSU did have a bigger band, and were augmented by low brass that UNT didn't have, but I thought they were tighter and it just wasn't UNT's best showing.
On the bright side, UNT's cheer and pom >> TSU's. Felt kind of bad for TSU regarding that aspect of the presentation.
This is important stuff. Worthy of concern.

I know there may be a few that laugh up their sleeve at this--not sure why--but this kind of $ donor and willingness to invest in the university can transform the entire school in virtually unlimited ways.
