Was the WKU game the lowest attended game in the 2000s?
I was at that game. No way there was 100 people there outside of the band.

Just because there isn't a strong candidate pool doesn't excuse them for being horrible at their jobs. That's like saying it's okay the mechanic didn't fix your car right because there aren't enough good mechanics in your town.
If you think they are bad, you really arnt going to like what’s behind them as a replacement. At the high school level, the shortage is a major problem and games are being moved to Thursday and Saturday to be able to be covered across the state. If officials arnt treated better at lower levels it is going to definitely impact the college level.

Two questions regarding officiating.
1. Why is it left up to the conferences? Seems to me that we could eliminate so called conference bias if they were just NCAA officials and not tied to a conference.
2. Who is in charge of CUSA officiating? So inconsistent with their calls from game to game. Does anyone review their work? It is almost embarrassing how bad they are.
You could put all officials as “NCAA” officials and you are going to get the same crews. SEC/ Big 12 officials make way more than CUSA officials so the better officials are going to get assigned those P5 games and CUSA and Sunbelt are getting the lesser crews.

Asinine to think there is any type of “bias”. D1 officials work very hard to get to the D1 level and could care less who wins.
The issue is the depth/ quality of officials at all levels. Officials are treated so poorly in youth and junior high level games that most quit before theIr first year.
There’s a massive official shortage at the high school level due to veteran officials retiring and no young officials there to replace them due to poor working conditions for beginner officials. There has to have a trickle up effect to the college level.

My original and only point is it’s unacceptable this game wasn’t offered on a legit network

Still didn’t answer my question. I don’t think it’s a matter of whether or not it’s acceptable. It’s logical. Traditional cable stations are on their way out, and casual fans across the country don’t tune in en masse to watch Conference USA games. Streaming makes a lot more sense in 2019.
And by the way, you didn’t need to create a Facebook account to watch the game.
Espn3 is an easy option for anyone with a smart TV. Why can’t UNT get their streaming games on a legit network

And what do you suppose they do about it?
So it’s just acceptable? Oh ho hum, huge game for the program no need to be on tv. Small time college athletics

Nothing screams mediocre small time college athletics like having to create a burner Facebook account to watch your schools biggest game of the year SMH 🤦♂️

Hey “the wren”, how about you make it a priority to make all UNT games available to on a legitimate network. So “old Denton” to subscribe to some bootleg network to watch games.

The best junior golf in the country is played in DFW. Baffling that both the men's and women's teams have no one that contributes that is from DFW. I know that Strack.......................e has made little to no effort to recruit DFW, not sure what the women's coaches deal is.

A poster in here ate at IHOP with Benford one time. He's a great guy, really got a raw deal here. Just needed 8-9 years to get all his guys in here.

Todd Dodge can coach. There needs to be a UNT version 30 for 30 about what went wrong during his unt stint.
