SMU would be my choice, but we need to beat then this year and next year to accomplish a true rivalry. We aren't rivals YET.

Unfortunately, we play SMU for the next 12 years, so the chance to build a rivalry is there.

I don't want to have a start up as a rival, especially a craphole start up that got into CUSA for ONE reason and ONE reason only, television market. Craphole illustrates everything that is wrong with college football today.

In conference, I think Rice is the much more viable rival. They actually have the academic advantage that D-bag SMU fans think they have over us. We have already beaten them once, and from my conversation with Christian Covington 2 days ago, it's pretty clear that their football team respects UNT football. Private vs public, "snobby high brows" vs "commuter school," has everything we need for a true rivalry.

Lets stop selling ourselves short by wanting some fictitious rivalry with craphole.

You do realize we were only moved up for television market as well right? If not go look at the past performance in football.

Could I make a suggestion to your running blogs... both for games and things like this....

Could you reverse the running blog to have the most up to date stuff on the bottom? I often have to read it in reverse because I like to follow it as you would a timeline from beginning to end. I think it would flow better and help the reader read it in time stamped fashion from beginning to end instead of end to beginning. I think it would allow the reader to read all of what you post, not just the most recent.

The reason I disagree with this is because you instantly cut out any revenue sales from opposing teams fans. This might not have been a big deal for some of the teams we played in the sunbelt but the teams we play now that can actually make the drive to Denton would make not selling beer to them a bad idea.

I know stars don't mean everything but go look at the past few years of recruiting for Indiana and SMU. Those will be tough games for us to win, especially Indiana since we do not play as well on the road.
