  1. I like the design... and even though it has obstacles that would need to be addressed... it is pie in the sky but 15 years from now or maybe 20.... who knows? Hey we can dream of the bigger leagues can't we? And a day we might have a stadium like that? Which we filled every home game? And a day UNT was included in the top 10? Come on.. about 15 years ago... did we ever think we'd be sitting in Apogee??

  2. Thanks Harry... I hope that young man has a bright future at UNT! He was so gracious to both my son and I. And to think he is only a freshman and he was so selfless was pretty amazing and speaks volumes to his character. This also speaks to the kind of young men that Coach continues to bring into the program. :)

I thought as much about the bridge... bummer. It could look soooo much nicer!

  3. Please oh PLEASE can someone recommend what we can do to get the rusty looking part of the pedestrian bridge painted. Each and every day, thousands of people drive under this bridge. Like Apogee, it is a very public, and visual representation of our University and the rust "color" makes it look unfinished and just sort of lacking something.

I know that it is cheaper because paint needs to be maintained. But this is OUR school we are talking about here, and there is a certain level of pride involved. Every time I drive under that thing the same thoughts run through my head.... "The rust part should be painted GREEN" and at night I think... "That bridge would be so awesome if it had some GREEN LED's on it"

Come on folks... Let's make this happen for next football season. This goes along with the rest of our success and improved image!

    What are your thoughts??

    GO MEAN GREEN!!

  4. I waited a bit and then calmly walked down onto the field with my 6 year old son... no problem. No police issues. Got some awesome photos. My little man was even given a pair of gloves by RF WR #85 Roderick Lancaster who was even gracious enough to let me take a picture with them together! (I hope this young man does well in the future as he seems very selfless and thoughtful) As well as a photo op with a couple of super nice cheerleaders... A memory my son will never ever forget! After about 15 minutes as the players and crowd started thinning out, we headed back up into the stands and out of the stadium. Nothing but smiles from ear to ear on both our faces!

  5. I disagree... especially for what is basically a "home" game. We travel very well. AND with the added publicity, success and recognition that the program getting, we may draw even more fans. I've been sporting UNT logo gear ever since the game. Many people have approached me telling me how well UNT looked and what a great game it was. I don't think our getting 35K fans or even more would be tough especially during the fair... and especially if they would vary the ticket pricing a bit. Just my two cents worth.
