Check out NT Sitting in second for now. Soccer maxed out with 12pts by winning the conference and look for more sports to follow their lead. This is the year North Texas wins the All-Sports Award.

Final Score...
North Texas 1-0 Louisiana-Monroe
Ellen Scarfone with the long goal on a penalty kick. NT moves to 3-0 in conference play.
Next up: Louisiana-Lafayette on Sunday
Not sure but heard Louisiana Laf tied Denver tonight in double OT

Nice win ladies over the Hilltoppers, keep it going.
DMN had these scores listed from yesterday's action that should help the RPI
Baylor wins at Texas 1-0
SMU beats Nationally ranked Central Florida 1-0
Fullerton beats San Diego 3-0

Unfortunately I sat through Sam Houston State smacking around our volleyball team last week but not happening with our womens soccer team. We should have ran up the score.
Love the SMU game - still undefeated

Good game, good crowd, and a solid win. UTA put up a decent fight in the third to give the end of the game a little tension. This weekend's games against SHSU, OU, and Cincy should be fun.
Solid win: UTA has now been swept by Portland State, UTEP and now us sitting at 1-3 and predicted to finish 5th in a below average Southland Conference. Sam Houston on Friday wont be much better who is predicted to finish 6th in the Southland. A solid win would be beating OU or Cin this week, two teams that are ranked in the region.

These are very very good players!
Word on the Hulstein kid that she turn down solid offers from Nebraska, OU, SMU and Memphis....great pickup.

So Denver won the title by four strokes over UNT and Monroe
-
Three teams from the Belt made it to post season play
Denver who finished 1st in the conference along with UNT's fourth place finish and FIU finishing fifth in the Sunbelt Conference.
Good Luck to all three teams at regionals

Giant Killers - Wish I could have been there. Nice to hear we had alot of fans drive up like the TCU win (great support). I heard OU has a tremendous soccer facility, had a chance to see OU play in the Big 12 championship game last fall so once again a very nice result along with beating Arkansas.
To bad these games are not at home but great spring ladies!! You and coach Hedlund always make us proud, cant wait until next fall to watch another exciting winning season.

The 4-0 thrashing by Denver will at best get us a fourth seed regardless of what we do the rest of the way. Getting beat up by FIU and now Denver along with a losing record is hard to hope for anything more. I am a little surprised on the Denver result since we're all healthy now.
Prediction - Top 5 seeds: FIU, Denver, Monroe, UNT, Lafayette

2-7 in conference (13-15 overall) Lets hope we can turn it around this weekend in conference play,I would hate to see us sitting at home during the sunbelt conference tournament.
-
Did not see this coming - Cellar Dweller MTSU wins all three games this weekend and now we sit 1-5 in the belt.(12-13 overall)
Lets take it out on the Cowpokes this Wednesday and then start stringing some conference wins together.

As a fan, I couldn't help wonder after walking away from watching UNT beat TCU 1-0 in soccer at Pizza Hut Park the other day - in front of a sea of fans wearing green or purple that why aren't the other team sports from both schools playing each other and developing rivalries like soccer. I understand the easy answer would be because these schools wont play us because of fear of losing & recruiting...so you're telling me soccer does not face the same situation, but somehow they make it work.
Our true team sports like football, basketball, soccer and some day baseball should play TCU as well as SMU every year...the battle of the Metroplex, bragging rights. Can you imagine the attention, atmosphere, exposure we all would get from UNT, TCU and SMU playing each other every year. We would be marking are calendar six months in advance instead of saying what Louisiana school are we playing this week. Come on schedule makers - were all tired of hearing the excuses, let's get it done and follow soccer's suit.
Great win ladies, way to beat up on those pissed off horned frogs...now that's a rivalry.
-
I was really hoping to get MTSU in the final. Its tough beating a team three straight times this year and with their campus only a hour a way, i'm sure UALR will have a great crowd for the final.

Unfortunately the NCAA only counts us having 18 wins at this time. They dont count Oklahoma Panhandle St and Henderson St, two non div I teams.(18-10)
-
Solid result against the Big 12 champs and the fourth best team in the country.
-
Does that mean Sam Houston State would beat LSU by 40

Just saw on the UNT soccer facebook page the spring schedule: OU, OSU, Texas A&M, LSU, Arkansas, Tulsa, Rice, Houston. Doubtful these teams would come here since Hedland wins over 90% of his games at home.
