  1. To me our A formation is so slow you could time it with a calender.

Our Strength and Conditioning program has killed our speed running game. It's either that or Byrd and Jummerson are both hurt.

They line up 8 yards deep and recieve the ball 5 yards deep and that is way too much time against a quick defense.

Everytime I've watched the replay of that first half I've wanted to put my foot through the TV.

This is not our only problem, but you hit the nail on the head Rick. Although I think we now have speed, agility, quickness coach.

I don't care what we do as a game plan. I just want our coaches to realize that the game plan is not working before half time hits. Which is what happened at Ohio and Tulane

  2. I read the entire thread. Normally, I have no problem with UNT folks, but i don't think they are in any position to look down on Texas State-San Marcos. Just sayin'.

Thank you, from a '81 grad of SWTSU. Heck, we (SWTSU students) looked down on NTSU students back in the day, but that was before all the name changes; just sayin.

GO MEAN GREEN or as I remember in 1980 "Grow Green with NTSU"

  3. yes, BC is our greatest threat, so why is he not on the field 90% of our offensive plays? When he does play, everyone in the stadium knows he will touch the ball. I get tired of everyone saying we have no other play makers on this offense when most of our passes are thrown to BC or Delgato. How many passes to TE's this year? We usually have two on the field blocking, although they are very good blockers. Once the offense quits leaning on BC to make every big play it will make BC more effective when he does touch the ball. Let be patient and hope that our coaches make those adjustments.

  4. To me pulling the kicker after the second miss didn't do anything but mess with his head the rest of the season. When FFR and I were driving back home, FFR was on the phone talking to John McDowell (SUMG). In between the unprintable comments he was making he made an excellent observation. He said ...."what are the chances that the kicker will make the rest of his kicks vs the chances that our bi-polar offense tonight was going to make 4th and 10+ yards inside the red zone?

  5. I think the game plan for TS was very conservative, probably to work on some part of the offense and show very little of the offense. Brelan was not even on the field much of the time and we have barely used the four or five receiver sets during our first two games. Once we open up the play book our offense should be much more exciting and much tougher on defenses.

  6. I have noticed a couple of things from the roster. Though not updated, it does show a number 93 De'Andrew Lewis, a TE out of Mesquite. Bio says he was a LB and team captain in high school.

Also, does anyone remember seeing news that Willie Taylor left the team? His name is not on the roster. I think I have seem a #3 in the practice videos, though I have no idea if that is still Taylor or not.

    Brett Vito, are you listening?

Willie Taylor has left the team.
