What I can imagine is North Texas dropping as many sports as possible in order to keep those remaining financially viable. I could see the NFL's position if UH was somehow using the Oilers' logo.  Maybe.  But I don't think the NFL owns the rights to powder blue.

Maybe but UVA brought in a freshman starter for the last five games of the season.  His CMP% was 62% for almost 2000 yards.  UVA sucked but not because of the freshman QB.

Well, I think they're 501(c)(6), still tax exempt tho.  IIRC, the NFL gave up their tax exempt status about 10 years ago.
