    FAcebook is very bad feed

I had the same problem initially; I am guessing you have the wrong unofficial feed where they want you to use their random off FB link.

Instead, search "UNT Houston" (with out the " " and nothing else and a link with about 4k watching should show up that works great for me.

    the others did not.

Tried that....but the cockroaches took a hit from a .45 and kept going. Went to the Hilton Garden instead. Thanks for the advice.

Also Royal Inn was torn down several years ago so would make for opening air accommodations now but great location otherwise 🤷‍♂️😎

  3. Considering what they have invested in facilities.... including a $50mil indoor training facility and a likely even more expensive new stadium (granted both about 15 years old now) I doubt that will happen. Also remember about 12 years ago they where highly ranked, top 25, in at least one season. Sure recently they have been pretty bad, yet they still have players drafted regularly etc.

  4. Just spoke with someone in the parking office. He said they are now enforcing parking permit on the weekends as well. This is new this year but makes little sense other than to squeeze a few more cents out of people visiting campus. I am mainly think on none-game days here when visitors or other functions are held at UNT such as events for kids etc.

It will likely just lead to those events no longer being held  on campus and thus a loose of revenue and expose of UNT to parents and potential students.

  5. I don't believe this is true. The parking regulation policy does not seem to state exactly which days permits are enforced, other than when UNT is open, but it does state in one place

    • "These spaces are enforced from 7:00am to 10:00pm, Monday – Friday. "

    • You can always check the signs at each lot but it should be free on weekends, other than Fouts.

edit, I found this picture, it is not clear if this includes the weekends!

  6. Just wondering, do you expect the school of journalism to plan their classes around when one football play can make them? What about basketball players or track athletes that often travel on Thursday and Friday. Should their department not offer classes on those days.

I agree with accommodations but it should be the coaches letting him go to class whenever it is offered. He is supposed to be a Student-athlete not the other way around. This is a recurring issue, especially with grad students who's classes often begin at 5pm, so during normal practice time.

  7. Yes, but likely well out of our price range.

He made UCONN into a ranked team within 5-7 years of joining DI-A, and as soon as he left there UCONN went to terrible. He had many drafted players including at least 1 first rounder (Brown, did not do to well in the NFL though). Also, obviously, football is far from the most popular sport at UCONN.  Of course the resources there were different, they spend about the same amount (~$55 mil) as we did on our stadium to build the Football only full field (120yd) size indoor training facility.

  8. There is large brand new garage near those dorms already. No one uses it, so no need for more garages, they are very expensive and students will not pay what they cost to build to park in them. Also there is ample parking behind the Apogee stadium, except for game days. Problem is, everyone expects parking right by the building they need to go to. Move all parking to the outside of campus and use the space in the middle of campus for the badly needed additional buildings.
