The sign was the result of negative comments the UC-Irvine baseball coach made about LSU and the Civil War prior to the SuperRegional. He later apologized. The sign was reflective of his comments as well as the fact that we won two out of three and advanced to the College World Series after losing the first game. Opposing fans who are going to get bent out of shape about getting Tiger Bait yelled at them should probably not go. If you can laugh it off and do your own cheer back you will be invited to drink and eat for free and meet a lot of interesting people. All fan bases have their jerks and LSU is not any different, but not significantly different than any other school. I visited NTexas btw when my daughter was looking at colleges (while wearing an LSU shirt) and have to say that everyone we met was extremely nice and very helpful and I enjoyed my visit thoroughly. If a college football fan is not going to visit one of the premiere college football stadiums in the country based on internet rumors he is truly going to miss out on a great experience. Thanks to those who have inquired about the tickets.

I would suggest you go to a Virginia Tech board and ask them what they think of LSU fans. Sorry your experience was negative.

If anyone is planning on visiting Baton Rouge and LSU/ Death Valley in September............. I have two tickets in the Stadium Club for sale. These are my personal tickets. I cannot make this game. The seats are on the second row of the lowest of three levels near the level of the goalline and are covered. The inside of the Club is air conditioned, has multiple big screen TVs and private bathrooms. The Club serves a wide variety of free food and nonalcoholic beverages from 3 hours before kickoff until one hour after the game ends. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks are available for a nominal cost. The seats are expensive and not for those on a tight budget, but I am selling them for less than my cost.
