  1. So, assuming we all universially hate the Trafic/Parking Dept at whatever our respective schools are, how does UNT's parking system work... is there really a difference between General and Premium Commuter parking (other than what side of campus you can park on)? I've already called Parking with "dumb" new comer questions... and was made to feel rather dumb. Also where and when can you purchase parking permits, and do the little numbers on the parking map have anything to do with permits, ie you get a permit that allows you to park in General Commuter lot #20. any thing else i should know? Thanks
  2. thanks much, some how i could not get their home page, i kept getting another part of their site when i was looking.
  3. what cable providers service the Denton area? i will be moving the first week of August some time and will need to get cable and internet set up pretty fast. any gripes with these companies or out of the ordinary good experiences? Thanks
  4. thanks, i know we have places like Raider's Pass and Jefferson Commons etc (they have big parent comapnies that i am sure have places in Denton), that are Dorms with out the RA's but in an apartment format... but i am just not sure about Denton.
  5. how abut some other places close to campus? maybe some that don't scream student housing .... no i am not saying that the fountians does, but we have some out here that definatly are student housing (the places there are definatly parties, generally for about an hour or two then their busted... how are these... Woodhill Ridgecrest Westwind Arbors I found them online and they are somewhat in my price range
  6. ok, so how about apartments? i have no idea if i am going to be living with someone or not, i have a friend that has applied for speach pathology but no telling if she is goning to go to UNT or one of the other three places she applied. but a one or two bedroom, decent area (i dont know about there but we have a slightly ghetto area a few streets north of campus here), relativly cheap. perferably allows pets...
  7. I'm planning on focusing on GIS/Cartography in the MAGeo program, maybe with a little archeology on the side. it doesnt suprise me that there are undergrads in the classes, they "piggy-back" classes at Tech too wich is slightly annoying because if i wanted to do a program out here i would just take the same classes over with an extra paper or something like that in the course.
  8. ah, awsome. ok... any dirt on the Geography department?
  9. I was wondering if there were some other forums based at UNT... ie. non-sports based... I was hoping to make some inquiries about a department I have applied to for gradschool and the area, apartments etc. thanks
