Actually we are completely rebuilding it right now. Though no one will notice because it all starts under the hood.
I did notice that the Model A was towed to the scrimmage on Saturday.

Amen. Some fans want big time football at 1-AA prices. It doesn't happen that way!
I understand the price increases (and I donated to MGC every year before there was requirement so not a big issue), but why am I still getting 1-AA opponents at home and a stinkin' Thanksgiving weekend home game EVERY YEAR?

No one thought the "New" plastic helments that replaced leather looked "good" either...as I recall, facemasks were not thought to be "cool" at first either...like the helment in ice hockey...took awhile for the players and fans to warm up to that...hey, even some of the rodeo folks are wearing helments these days...not pretty ones either! So, what am I saying....well, if this helment gets going, folks will just come to see it as the "normal" football helment and all will be well again! Change is really tough for some folks...and sports fans are the most "traditional" they come...hey...
what would happen if all the NASCAR guys learned to turn right instead of left?????????
I keep hoping the Busch brothers will try that!

Thanks for finding that; what a juke he put on that guy at the start of the return; they replay it close up after the return.
I want the guy that threw the block on about the 45!

I will disagree and say I like this change.
This rule is hardly ever enforced, and needs to be. An official is going to get severely hurt (again) if it is not taken seriously.
I used to ref high school ball and by the time I officially gave a warning, I had already talked with the coach twice about the sidelines area. The officials are usually communicating with the bench area about this through out the game so eliminating the warning is really not that serious.

Chad Rose is just one of those players that any team needs. He seems to be able to play anywhere on the interior OL and is a solid individual. He was my daughter's Mean Green Buddy a couple of years ago so I am slightly biased, but he has always impressed me as a person and a team player.

Nautique has officially achieved "Enlightened Insider" status!!! Keep the inside info coming Nautique, I congratulate you on breaking news first.
And for revealing what may be several breeches of federal policy. More info as this develops...

Why does TCU need more seating?
Looks like it might have been part of a box or suite construction that collasped.

A little news about our neighbors to the south. Looks like everyone is ok.

Forest Rucker, MGS reports his LOI is in!
Big WR, 6-5, listed at 195lbs. Outstanding!
I'll say it. Throw him the ball so we can yell
"RUN FORREST RUN!"

A summary of what this guy will do is to make sure all of the marketing campaigns are promoting the same message: print, radio, internet, and TV. The URCM department reviews printed materials and websites to try to insure they all look the same.
These are the guys responsible for making sure the new logos get stuck on everything and the old ones are removed. They have been needing to add more people for a while now. Hopefully, this will lead to a new TV commercial for the UNT that is really slick.

Very funny.
And while it has nothing to do with their football playing ability, the LSU helmets need to be updated. Theirs looks like an old sticker found in the attic coupled with some stick on letters from the hardware store.
That's right! They should take our approach and change their helmets every two years. Who needs tradition?
****SARCASM ALERT*****
Just in case you could not detect the tongue in cheek.

This is exactly what was described to me by the Development office. We are in the planning phase of fund raising and will soon move in to the quite phase. We have to know what the price tag is before we know how much money to pickup I was told we have a little over $5M already in hand (in the Development department) for the stadium. I believe there is more money to be added to the total that comes from the state through the budget. We have some money but we also have a ways to go.
I believe that $5M may be the amount pledged - not actually received. Also, the state will not contribute funds to athletic facilities.

We can change Wikipedia ourselves?
But I like to complain about stuff and not do anything! How does this help me!?
Yes, you can change Wiki. We just need to dig up the info and have it posted.

I can pretty much tell you that any BIG announcement has nothing to do with BIG money.
-
You could include FIU in that list... glad to cause we provided both SMU and FIU with their only wins this season.
Evidence that the list is bogus.
-
The pond was drained the week after the bonfire.
-
Sorry, but I listened to the entire game and we gave up 38 points. The most common call on the radio? "He (FIU QB) throws to a wide open receiver..."
Sure we had drops, but this scheme is awful and, yes, Dodge bears part of the blame. It is also his call to fix it.
-
If you look at FIU's performance on offense, you wouldn't know that there were the worst team in the FBS.
No, we are the worst team in the FBS now. When your defense gives up 38 points to a team that averages 13 a game, you are the worst team in football. We will be #1 on the Bottom Team and it will be unbelievable if we are not #118 or #119 on every ranking chart on the net. The only reason we will not be #118 on every chart is that some of those rankings don't really pay attention to the bottom of the list.
And it has every thing to do with the DC.

On paper I think we won?
Kinda like you said in another post, on paper this was not the easiest schedule we have had in years. Like the "win" here, we all know better. We should have had more than 2 wins.
-
If I am doing my numbers correctly I think if we give up less than 12 points this week to FIU, we will allow fewer points than Rice and get out of the 119th spot on scoring defense. FIU is 119th in points scored, averaging 13.0 points a game.

Singletary was mentioned in the article. He said no. Smart move on his part.
Hehe. I guess I should read all of the article.

Methodist Tom Landry was a frequent guest speaker at Baptist Billy's crusade meeetings. My late parents were financial supporters of Billy Graham (above & beyond their usual local church tithe, of course).
Are we having fun with all this yet, Jeff? LOL!
GMG!
Here's another funny bit of trivia. I attended a Baptist college established with funds provided by two Methodists. East Texas Baptist was established as a sister school for SMU in the early 1900's. ETBU (College of Marshall then) was larger than SMU for a time, but the growth of Dallas outpaced Marshall and SMU became larger.
