  1. I'm with you. OldTimer

I wish to thank all players and Coaches for there efforts and all those that have supported them thru a difficult year. We pray for all those that were injured that they will make a full and speady recovery. GO MEAN GREEN!

  2. FYI, Troy Franklin is not 300 lbs. More like 260 or so.

Think we need to redshirt Riley in order to spread that gap of time out between him and Giovanni. However, if Giovanni goes down early in the year, pull the redshirt off of Riley and play him. Did anyone else find it interesting (slightly) that Riley was the QB in the THSCA All-Star game for the North squad, and he was playing against the South squad coached by David Byrd who was Giovanni Vizza (and Sam Dibbrell's) high school coach at SA Alamo Heights?

you would be incorrect on Troy's weight!

  3. Interesting, wonder why #5 Seth Davis of Celina is playing? Where's our boy Troy Franklin or D'Anton Lynn (Penn St)?

Troy is Playing in Oil Bowl, it is common for those still looking for a home get priority for nomination in this game. Four all of the years I have been involved those who have sighned respectively decline to those or the individual still looking and wanting to find a home. Its a tradition.....

  5. I went to the Celina - Glen Rose game last Sat. The big Celina tackle that has committed to UNT was dominating . He put people on the ground nearly every play. Looks like he has room for more weight .

Troy is up to 6'5" 286 lbs. They are currantly (this year) playing him at Defensive Tackle, end and nose while on Offense at Tight end. He will play where ever the coaches decide to put him that best for the team now and next year. I also restate Mr. Vizza comments from last week on how exited he is about UNT's future and fortunate he feels to be able to play for Coach Dodge. UNT is headed for a very bright future. Go Mean Green!
