  1. Not to thread jack this but how long does a typical AD last at a school?  Is it normal for one to leave after 5 yrs, 10 yrs?  I just want to know how long we can "predict" that we will have the great RV.

It really depends on the situation. If the AD is an alum or from

that region, the AD can be there for a very long time no matter

how bad they are. Before Hyman was AD, we had an AD that

was here for over 20 years. However, he was alum that was

connected to the right people to protect him here even though

he did not have a clue on how to hire a good coach.

  2. Wasn't it just a paper banner? I'm serious, how much more harmless could this 'raid' have been. I'm really surprised that anyone at TCU even cared, much less was incensed.

It was about as harmless a prank as possible.

And if the banner is anything other than paper, it needs to be returned.

From what I can tell, it looked like it was just paper banner.

I agree that it was pretty harmless. However, all it takes

is 1 person out of 500 or 1000 TCU fans to get bent out

of shape over it to be an ugly incident. It really should not be

surprising that something did not happen when you look at

from a numbers standpoint like that.

  3. You're bragging on the Aggies? huh.gif

Don't they have enough "chest-pounding-blow-hards" of their own?

What sort of favors have they done TCU lately?

Bring your own stuff to the board......if you have any. cool.gif

I won't get into any details but I can assure

you that I have ZERO love for A&M. They

have not done any favors at all for TCU lately.

I used the MOB story to illustrate a point.

The reaction by one or two TCU supporters

is pretty mild compared to what a large contingent

of Aggies tried to do over something that was less

    harmful.

If the Pit Crew had not stolen the sign, there

would not have been any altercations in the first

place. Some people need to look at the action of their

own before casting blame on others.

  4. I would not call all of them rude. But there was one girl over by the Pit Crew, and well she did put the 'Christian' in TCU. At the half she came over trying to get the sign that the Crew had, and just got into name calling and this and that just being rude as can be. Police came in and everything. The name calling went back and forth all game. I could not stop laughing at this girl.

I did not go over there and make a big deal about

getting back the stolen property but some people

are a bit more uptight than me. At the same time,

that entire incident could have been prevented by

the Pit Crew. You just don't show off something

    that you just stole.

If Texas A&M ever gives you a home game, I dare

the Pit Crew to do a prank like this against them.

Instead of one or two people going over there to

get the sign you will likely get a large number of

Ag Quada going after the Pit Crew. Ask the Rice

band (the MOB) what Ag Quada can do if you have

a tribute to a particular border collie! laugh.gif

  5. I would like to add my thanks to the Pit Crew as well.

They provided the extra bit of motivation to help TCU win

    the game. biggrin.gifcool.gif

I wonder if the Pit Crew has any plans on getting a

SMU or UTA (assuming they have one) banner.

PS Did you guys give the TCU coaches some green shirts?

I noticed one TCU coach wearing a green shirt in the parking

lot as he left the game.
