i moved to Nashville this summer and am excited to see my Mean Green on the road. Catching a ride with some WKU folks I've met and was hoping to maybe spend a qtr or two with some NT fans
I'll be heading up from Nashville as well meeting my brother who is driving down from Louisville. I've been pretty fortunate to see a few NT games while living here in TN so it hasn't been too bad being away from TX. Maybe we can meet up and talk some Mean Green.
-
I'll be there along with 3 others making the trip down from Smyrna. That's about as far as I'll travel this year to watch in person.
-
So who all is going? We'll have a small group of 3 cheering on the Mean Green. Hope to do some tailgating before the game and maybe find some other Mean Green fans to throw back a few with.

Funniest thing I've seen in a long time! So underrated!!!!!!

And the question is "Miss DT yet?"

Yep. Same here.

I'll try that TFLF. Thanks!

In the past people have posted certain websites that might help in watching certain games that couldn't be viewed on TV. I can't find anyone here in TN that carries the Longhorn Network so I will have to resort to listening unless I can find something online. Anyone know what those sites are that we might be able to try? I really want to watch this game!!! -- GMG!!!

At long last, revenge on Charlie Stubbs, the Tulsa offense coordinator who helped begin to crush our four game bowl season streak by humiliating us 54-2 in 2005 and 28-3 in 2006!
I will not be satisfied until we fully repay Stubbs with an 82-5 drubbing...or worse!
Remember that first game all too well. We were ahead 2-0 and then I'm not sure what happened. Please Mean Green, make this happen!!!!! Revenge would be sweet!

Where do you live/family: Smyrna, TN / married another UNT grad and have 4 kids
Degree/Year attended/graduated UNT: BA Psychology 1991
Favorite NT Memory: Fry Street Fairs in mid to late 80's with New Bohemians and Ten Hands, The Library and Tomato, meeting and dating my future wife, living in Bruce Hall with no a/c because it was the only dorm I could afford (but absolutely loved it!)
Favorite NT Sports Memory: 2002 New Orleans Bowl victory and Bourbon Street following, watching Jamario in his breakout performance at Folsom Field in Boulder and hushing the crowd for a while even though we ended up losing, and the opening of Apogee after what seemed like would never happen

Yes, it is now listed on ESPN3. My phone call to them must have remedied the problem.

I just contacted ESPN to ask about it. They are not sure why it's not showing up on the schedule, but are looking into it. They are "supposed" to get back to me and let me know the outcome. I will post once I hear something.
-
I started this topic yesterday because I hadn't seen it listed yet as a game being shown. I'm a little concerned at the moment because it's still not being shown.
-
I realize all the above so just hope by game time it will be an option so I can watch. Usually all the games are posted on the ESPN3 website that are scheduled to be shown. Not sure why our game isn't there.
-
I see where the game is supposed to be televised by ESPN3. When I look at the line up for Saturday on their website it is not listed. Anyone have any ideas? Would love to be there in person but unfortunately too far to travel, especially after being there for the opener.
GMG!

I used to enjoy going down to Fry Street after games as a student and even as an alum to check out a band or just take in the college scene. I'll be flying in for the first game at Apogee Stadium and really looking forward to it. Where does everyone go now after games? Where is the best place to catch a live band afterwards? Would love to hear everyone's opinions on this. Great weekend lined up with the Rangers in town too for Sunday!

Correct me if I am wrong, but if we lose to WKU in 2 weeks, won't wins over UNT bookend their 26 game losing streak? And didn't that last win over UNT end a long losing streak, also?
I don't believe that Western has ever beaten us, or at least this past decade anyway.
-
It shows that it's only blacked out in the southern Alabama region so we should be good.
-
I know it's on espn360.com for sure. That's where I plan to watch.
-
I tried it on the Ohio game and had problems with it buffering every few seconds. Maybe its just my old computer.
-
I can assure you that most in that area will be watching Alabama if they are Alabama fans or even SEC, but won't be watching because of Riley or North Texas. That's just the reality. Living here in Tennessee I will definitely be watching and wishing Riley was playing so I could see him again. Most around here don't even know who Riley is... yet.

Very exciting game to watch and the last 21 seconds of this game were truly inspiring to watch. The goal line stand will be remembered for a long time by this die hard Mean Green fan.
I think the turning point in the game where the NT sideline really could smell a win was with Hill’s interception.
My 8 year old son was easily the rowdiest Mean Green fan in attendance and I think the team could here him out on the field.
Game lasted 4 hours though..Geez!
No chippy play but the WKU PA announcer would wait until NT had the ball under center and then yell…
….”THIIIRD DOOOWN THUUUUUNDER…
into a 50,000 watt PA system.
WKU is easily the most annoying college football venue as they make up for lack of crowd noise with PA system noise that will just blow your mind. Never heard anything like this and I have attended a lot of football games.
I was there too and wow, what a game. I brought my 11 year old with me. I think there were about 40 of us fans there, mostly family I would guess. You ain't kiddin about that PA guy. That had to be the most annoying thing I've heard at any football game ever! Dodge stayed outside the locker room after the game and personally congratulated every player and coach as they were walking in. I know he was relieved and elated to get that first win. That had to be the most exciting game I've seen in some time. I hope this is the turning point for this team.
