I wish they chose different uniforms than the ones they wore for the 69-31 debacle at FAU in 2017. They should wear the all whites instead, especially because Southern Miss has a blackout this weekend. 

[USM Line]

This is a winnable game but our Swiss cheese O line has got to be better. The skill players are there. It’s a shame that we’ve watched Mason run for his life for 4 years. Littrell has never gotten the O line figured out. When Derek Thompson was here, he was the least sacked qb in the country over 2 years. Imagine if Mason and co. had that kind of protection....

[UAB schedule]

UAB has the easiest schedule in the entire country this season. I don’t buy into UAB being that great. It’s not that hard to be undefeated so far with that schedule. 

[UTSA is definitely a Must Win]

You’re right that UTSA has this one circled on their calendar. I was at the game in San Antonio last November and it was way too close. If the team plays like that again, they may not be as lucky this year.

It was too bad the team couldn’t pull off the upset yesterday, but at least they showed some fight. With UTSA coming in town next Saturday, Littrell needs to make sure the team comes out firing on all cylinders. Losing to SMU was bad, especially the way we lost. However, losing to UTSA at home would be way worse. I know UTSA looks better than they did last year. However, there is no reason UNT shouldn’t win this game, especially since it’s at Apogee. The run for the conference championship starts now. 

[Win out.... Is this season still a disappointment?]

It’s definitely not a disappointment if we win out or even with a loss to Houston. The team needs to focus on winning conference (which hasn’t happened here in 15 years) and a bowl game. If they do that, it will be a successful year. Until UNT is doing that consistently, then doing that would not be disappointing.
