Here is my best guess at who might be on the staff next year. I'd love to hear what you guys think. Who's missing, who shouldn't be on the list, etc.

Congrats on bringing in Dan McCarney. I'm from Iowa so have seen what he's like and I think this is a good fit for him and the school. I'll be putting together a list of possible assistants for you guys shortly. With the change in OL coach and firing Todd Dodge, I've spent more time on this board than any other team in the country, so with that along with hiring McCarney, I guess I've become a follower and a fan of the Mean Green.

Phil Bennett? Really?
What exactly is the nutty thought process behind that suggestion? Can we please stay away from people that got fired for bad performance, and stick to people that are either great head coaches at a lower level, or coaches that got fired for either locking Craig James' son in a closet, or ONE TIME hitting a player.
I know what you mean. He has proven himself as a coordinator, so the question is how important head coaching experience is. I would say that no head coaching experience is better than being an experienced losing head coach, but I don't know if that is what the AD is thinking.

Obviously there are a lot of names floating around for this job. I think most of us would agree that whether in football or the business world, a lot of the time the person gets the job has a connection to the team/business or a member or that organization. For that reason, here are my 4 candidates to lead the Mean Green:
- Tyrone Nix
- Steve Kragthorpe
- Phil Bennett
- Jim Leavitt
**4 candidates - North Texas Head Coach**
Thoughts?

I've seen the articles mentioning Jeff Bryant as a possible replacement, and that seems like the most likely scenario, but here are three other names to consider:
- Keith Uperesa
- Mike Simmonds
- Larry Scott
**4 candidates for North Texas OL coach**
Thoughts?

I believe John Pont is working with the tight ends as a graduate assistant.
That's what I would have guessed. Will Kevin Barbay and Brian Morgan still be on staff in the fall?

I'm looking at the coaching staff and I have too many people on the staff. There can only be 9 assistants, but I have 10 listed. I'm assuming someone left, but I don't know who. Here is the list I have:
HC Todd Dodge
OC Mike Canales
DC Gary DeLoach
QB (Canales)
RB Shelton Gandy
WR Conroy Hines
TE John Pont
OL Spencer Leftwich
DL Mike Nelson
LB David Rausch
CB Carlton Buckels
S Chuck Petersen
I saw John Pont was a recent addition, but I didn't see that anyone left. Can anyone help me out? Any corrections or additions are greatly appreciated.
New Qb Offer - Andrew Mcnulty

McNulty goes to Iowa City High School, which happens to also be the high school where Dan McCarney and also Kent Riddle graduated from. I believe McCarney and McNulty's dad were college roommates at Iowa. Smart, fundamentally sound kid that could probably play QB or safety. Played in the shadow of a high school all-american for 3 years, and made the most of his time on the field. He'd be a good pick-up for you guys.
