Considering we have 2 solid rebounding big men I am betting we will be able to wear theirs down in the second half and win that battle.
It may not matter. If we shoot like we have in some games, we couldn't beat the Sunnyvale Nursing Home.
-
One thing for sure: the battle of the boards will be brutal. #1 and #2 in the conference in rebounding margin.
-
I hope the good UALR team shows up. If we can beat them when they are on it will give me a lot more confidence as to what we can do in the tourney.
If the other team shows up, it will be a blow-out. On our bad games we have been horrible!! We will rebound well - that is a given. Rashad is a man in the middle, and Big Byron will add 6-8 rebounds a game at the other post. After that it is anyone's guess. If our perimeter shooting is on, we could make a game of it, but NTU definitely will be the favorite - by a bunch.

We (Little Rock) were in the same position. Played great against Akron and absolutely horrible against TTech.
-
Huge win. Contratulations.

"Make no mistake, the talent is there for this team to do great things."
I agree. My personal pick to win the West was NTU, in a fight with us (Little Rock) and UNO. Get the SBC some big non-conference wins!
-
I was speaking of the official release of the schedule on the school's website.
-
Any idea when your basketball schedule will be out? You are racing FIU to be the last one.
-
How do you folks get all these good transfers?! Someone on the staff is doing a great job.
-
Actually, next year Monroe, Lafayette, Jonesboro, Little Rock and New Orleans makes a fairly compact division for basketball. Other sports that are not similarly divided would be more far-flung.
-
You are right. That could very easily be a preview of the conference championship. However, I would rate your guys at North Texas as probably the most likely sleeper at this point.
-
Sam Houston State beat Missouri last night in the NIT.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer program.
-
On what was a poor-shooting team, Justin Barnett was the best percentage shooter. Why didn't he shoot more?
-
They're just sore because the lost the divisional title two years in a row.
-
UALR I think beat Western Kentucky tonight. If so, that is the same UALR that was hammered by MTSU by 35......
Same team, but you wouldn't have guessed it. Played about as poorly as we can against MTSU.
-
Is your roster set? Who is on it?
-
It's hard to trust a ratings system that has Lamar at #3 and Duke at #72.
This particular rating is about gross incoming talent, not average talent. Duke only had two recruits. Also, Lamar's class is legit. One of the major sites had a big splash about it.

I assume two years left. He was listed as a sophomore on Ark's roster.
-
Arkansas newspaper reports Kendrick Davis transferring from Razorbacks to North Texas.

Yes, I was very disappointed in Eddie. If he sticks by his statement that the kid has zero room for mistakes, then maybe he will do him some good, otherwise he let us all down.
-
"Time for the bandwagon to start." I agree. NTU fans need to get out and support this team. Biggest surprise of the conference season so far.

Hats off to you guys for an outstanding win. We shoot over 50% from 3-point range, our point guard has 10 assists and only 1 turnover - and we still lose. Hard to figure. We did not shoot well inside, so your big guy must have intimidated us. We don't have much beef inside. Good players, but not a lot of weight.
-
Outstanding win for North Texas and the SBC. I realize Baylor is way down, but that is still a good win. Way go go!

That is about what I would have expected from Knight. <_<

Correct. We (Little Rock) are not a good shooting team from outside. However, our starting front line shoots well. We just can't get enough space from them by hitting from the arc. The strength of this team definitely is post play. However, our starting 2 guard, Terrance Akins, if he goes on a streak, can break a game open. But, he is streaky. When he's cold, he's cold.
