Update on UNT QB Josh Cousins

Recommended Posts

Cousins is a walk-on participating in UNT spring drills. He originally signed with Northeastern State in Oklahoma after a good career at Denton Liberty Christian.

He appears to be tied to the DeBartolo Sports University group which works with the top QB prospects. UNT walk-on QB Quinn Shanbour is also tied to this group.

Cousins is about 6-0, 215 and has a big arm. He was starting as a freshman QB at Northeastern and separated his shoulder in a game. He has been described as sort of a Scott Hall type of QB.

We focus a lot of attention on the primary QB suspects like McNulty, Williams, Greer and Means but there are some pretty talented walk-ons in the pool of prospects as well.
