As cool as they were (and they were), I just wish we'd go to a green helmet with a white SOW and be done with it. The Oregon/Oklahoma State fad that thinks you have to have a new helmet every game is getting old IMHO.

They would not have used these helmets again anyway. They are the green helmets that they wore all season with the aforementioned wraps on them.

Can we get minis of the alternate helmets used? I would love to get one of these, but there are several reasons that I may not be able to get one. Plus, I already have a mini helmet collection going and these would be great to add to my collection.

On a related note, would love to see the historic mini helmets that we have worn available for purchase in the Apogee store. I would really love to be able to complete my collection as some others may want to do as well (or even start a collection for some).

I just hope they make them a more reasonable $200, instead of the over priced $300 last time...I wasn't willing to pay that, but would probably pay 2 bills...seems like everytime they do something they charge too much....$80 bucks at the Tower club...too much...$7 beers at HOD....too much...$300 helmets...too much....season tickets...about right. They should build the fan base a bit more before they start sticking to everyone...kinda like tuition IMO.

The 300 bucks was to recoup their actual cost. Yes, it's a chunk of change, but it really wasn't an effort to "stick it to everyone."

And UNT had nothing to do with the cost of refreshments at the Cotton Bowl.

There are some shortcomings over at the A.D., but I don't think the cost of these things are among them.

If we want to stay at the top level of classification we better get used to paying for it. I know not everyone can afford it, and I am in no way trying to cast aspersions on anyone who can't, but if we don't find enough people who have the extra money and choose to spend it on this, we are going to be in whatever the second lower classification is.
