I know most won't agree with me but I have no problem with trying to score on every play/possession.. the only exception is when your opponent is too small or old or young. Make sure you play all you guys though.

Walk off the field as you must but take that ass whipping like a man ..bother' s me more to whine about it..

From the article, it doesn't appear any of the opponants were whining. It also says his boss specifically told him not to run up the score. And by the coaches own statements, he ran up the score in some games anyway, despite his understanding of what his boss said. It depends on the work situation, but I've had some bosses in the past who told you to jump and you better say how high on the way up. This coach went against the specific wishes of his boss. In the real world, you can and will get fired for that!

Much more to the story here. Like others have said....very doubtful the "real" reason is due to his running up the score on anyone. Probably a big ego problem employee not worth the trouble he caused at the school even if he did win games. I've had to "find other career opportunities" for employees in my time that performed quite well, but were pretty much cancers within the organization. Life's too short to put up with these folks and there are way too many alternatives out there to put up with this sort of employee.

Have no clue what really went on...just reading between the lines and drawing on a bit of experience...something just says there is way more to this.

What if the opponent cheats AND runs the score up? Would you have a problem with that?
