Thoughts from a Cincy Fan on Kelvin Gaines transfer

Got this from Cincy fan subflea on their message board site:

He is an unbelievable athlete. He can jump out of the gym. The problem is that he has very little experience in basketball and it shows. He has horrible hands, doesn't move his feet well, and just looks lost 90% of the time he is on the floor. He probably would not be transferring if he had been healthy the whole time he has been here. Unfortunately, he has been banged up and was not able to develop like the staff had hoped he would.

Playing at a smaller program in a conference with less polished big men opposing him will likely help him and he will probably be a good addition to UNT if that is where he chooses to go. If all our incoming recruits qualify, we are one over the scholarship limit. It would be a win for everyone. UC fixes their roster issue. The new school gets a player who can play immediately and has 2 years of eligibility left. Kelvin gets to play in a place where he likely sees the floor a lot more and can develop his game.
